The last few days have been incredible. Since my first post about 5 days ago, I've received loads of blog-comments and emails. I honestly did not expect my blog to generate such a response so soon. It truly is humbling.
While it is impossible for me to reply to each and every one of you, the one issue that seems to be coming up quite often in all your comments is the fact that quite a lot of you want me to leave Kasamh Se because according to you it's not the same as it used to be. Now guys- whether I agree with you or disagree with you is not the question here. However, there are a few points I'd like to make-
Firstly, I am just TOO attached to Kasamh Se. But more than that and more importantly, KS has given me so, so much...I mean, c’mon guys - most of you wouldn’t be here reading my blog if it wasn’t for KS. Last but certainly not the least, a commitment is a commitment.
While I respect all of your opinions, I can not disregard the fact that there still are hundreds of thousands of women all over the country who are still die hard fans of Kasamh Se and it would be an injustice to all of them if I were to leave the show. Don’t get me wrong guys – I do see where you guys are coming from. In my younger days I have walked away from projects on more than one occasion (you can blame it on creative differences, arrogance or just lack of experience). But today I am a married man and a father and I now have 10 years of work experience behind me. Which is why, today I realise that a commitment is a commitment, and if I want to be able to call myself a professional, then I better be professional in all my dealings. Just because you don't like something in life, you can't always walk away from it (I want my daughter to learn this so I better practice what I preach). So guys - whether I like it or not – KS is something that I will see through to the end.
Tini – your mail's the longest mail I've received yet (1000 words…. phew!!!). You write pretty well. Maybe you should write a book sometime.
Priya – 'All the Best' for your 12th!

jai and bani are just tooo real for us to be able to stomach even small friendly gestures between jai and meera...leave alone any intimacy....

I definitely think it was better for you at that time to have left GEM then to leave KS right now. KS in some ways has so many more dimensions and so much more depth then say GEM had (though lemme say I watched episode after episode of GEM to get a glimpse of u!!!). If anything though I will always wish Prachi returns someday-you and Prachi ARE Jai and Bani. I mean somebody says 'Bani' and the only person that comes to mind is Prachi. I can understand her desire to take on other projects but it would be great to see her back someday!!! Call her and tell her you miss seeing her on the sets and harassing her :-)
Thanks Ram for explaining your views, I guess I can see from where you are coming from. yes I agree commitment is a big thing, and being a parent does change one's outlook on life. I study in a boarding school and I see how much sacrifise my parents make just to keep in the best of school. right now I have my summer vacation and am catching up on Kasam Se the only show I watch and that too just for you. Actually I should be studying for my 12th boards but instead I am downloading past episodes of Kasam Se, if I flunk I know who to blame, lol love you Ram keeping giving your best, your fans are not going anywhere.

now I have one Question for Jai Walia, whose son is Vicky???????? I am not going to accept that he is JW's son. JW is just for Bani, that is what always attracted me to JW, his being a one woman man. I know you dont mess with the creatives but just this one time mess with them, for our sake, for your fans sake. tell them to make Vicky an adopted son.
look if Vicky actually was JW & meera's son then he has to be only 14/15 how can he complete his studies in the US of A and is all ready to handle his Dad's empire...not logical na. ok now i am lmao at looking for logic in K serials. no offense Ram but it's true dont you think so.

I also understand that you don't want to interfere with the creatives. But then the creative change & they are not at attached to KAsam Se as you are or we as viewers are. Thats why its hard to take bloopers lie jai celebrating Meera's birthday but forgetting that Ganga's birthday is also on same day or Bani was killed on the same day ( while family was cutting cake) & he should be happy.The biggest one so far is Vicky as Jai's son. Jai who didn'yt touch meera when he hated Bani now has kid with her when he is supposed to be in love with bani. That too a kid who is obviously older than Krishna who as per Jai is his youngest kid.
Its frustrating to see such carelessness of creative & writers. As a diehard fan it hurts us to badmouth Jai when we love you as an actor.It upsets us that Jai & Bani who are supposed to be caring parents don't bother to think about their lost son Athatrva( so farPronita/ Bani hasn't wondered where he is nor has Jai shown to miss him.
Sorry if I have bored you with my crititsism but what can I do. I amso much attached to this show & you are to blame for it. Who told you to be so good to make the characters so real?
At least you should convey our frustrations & views to the creative. if nothing they do care about TRPs & popularity of the show.And its affected clearly with the current storyline, persistance of Meera & so called son of Jai & Meera( Vicky).
BTW its okay if you forget to use your whitener.

as far as KS.. and your 'quitting' it goes.. though i'm part of the group that wishes you'd leave.. due to the way the storyline is going/has been going and of course butchering of our JW.. i guess what you say is right.. a commitment IS after all a commitment..and i respect you for living upto yours...
and how could i forget.. aside from JW.. i loveddd Jas Thakral.. definetely a cool character.. at least many of us thought so.. his love for his cats.. and his style of talking.. everything about him was just toooooo good..his scenes in KSBKBT always used to put a smile on my face.. you were brilliant!!... it was definetely a sad moment when thakral's character ended but we have the moments via the videos so one can always re-watch
speaking of moments.. i'm sure i was past cloud 9... when i had seen you and prachi at NYC parade.. it was such an amazing day for me.. i can't even describe it in words.. it was gr8 seeing you here.. do visit again!

poor Pallavi. Creatives have streched this Meera thing so much that I won't watch her in any other show even. I have started hating her face. Every one is not Ashwini who can make you ove her in spite of hating her character. Miss her along with Prachi.
I love Kasam Se so much that I still don't want it to end but rather hoping things will improve. Right now watch only your part & ignore rest.
BTW loved your interaction with little Atharva & Krishna & ofcourse Ahsaas. Makes me think Sia is lucky to have you as her father. You are good with kids.

First of all, I think that you are a fantastic actor! The way you emote makes it so real and natural. Jai Walia is my favourite character in KS. I am also one of those who DO NOT want you to leave KS and I watch KS regularly!
I agree that when one is older and hopefully wiser, it is more difficult to walk away from a commitment. You are right, KS has given so much to you and I appreciate the fact that you want to see it to the end. I always say that I started watching KS from the first episode and will see it through, unless you leave, which I'm glad you're not!
As a parent myself, I can see how it is important to set an example to the children. You can't teach them something and not follow it yourself.
On another note, after this current leap, things are looking better as far as screenplay and production value goes. As for the story of Meera and Jai, well, I for one think that it goes with the territory of serials, the shock value and drama. As long as Jai and Bani get together, Meera is fine, especially since Pallavi is doing a good job in this negative character. Gurdeep too is good as the matured Bani. And Jai Walia rocks in the emotional scenes and I for one liked the fact that Jai actually got to smile more often after this leap, though I know it will only be for a while as some hard hitting truths will be revealed to him!

Was very fond of Kasam se but lost interest the show & liking Jay Walia when he accepted Meera in spite of knowing Bani's love & innocence even though it was bani who insisted it.
Now with the new generation & leap & total loss of USP, Jay's love for bani just watch it if think something interesting might happen.
Loved the broken father portrayed by you recently.Creative should give you chance to show your talent. thats only thing remaining. Otherwise they are wasting people like Arunima.

It is very sweet of you to stay in touch with your fans in this manner. I no longer watch Kasamh Se as ardently as I used to, but I do try to catch a few episodes just for Jai Walia.
However, barring the storyline, the replacements, and the leaps, one thing still bothers me - the inconsistency of Jai Walia's character. He is no longer the same arrogant Jai Walia he was in the beginning. We were willing to accept that because Bani's "love" changed him. He became a more caring and compassionate man who learned how to smile again. We loved that! But somewhere along the way, Jai lost that independence, that vigor, his confidence in himself. Earlier, he would not let anything be an obstacle. Now, everything and everyone in his life are obstacles. Also, after this 16 year leap, the uniqueness of Jai Walia is gone. He's just an older man with the same trivial problems as in any other show - kids going on the wrong path, wedding plans, same old. Kasamh Se had this charm and subtlety earlier, but it's missing these days:(
Sorry for the rant. You wanted honest opinions and criticisms so...
But I have to admit that even with the crazy storyline and inconsistent characterizations, you still manage to do brilliantly. So kudos to you for that!

first of all, I'm a die hard fan of yours, I love your work. i think you have a nice personality, it was veryy sweet of u to start a blog and keep in touch with us. I really liked ks but after the 16 years leap it dissapointed me, watching meera smile 24/7 is driving me crazy, I don't want Jai to go near her, as J&B fans we get very violent towards meera(poor pallavi)and many of us are bad mouthing her these days. I still like Jai walia even though the creatives butcherd him, you do a wonderful job playing an onscreen father and recently when jai broke down, the emotions were well portrayed. one more thing can you tell the creatives to reveal who is vicky's dad, its hard to think that he is jai's son, the J&B fans had a panic attack soon as vicky was introduced, we are still hopeing he is adopted he cant be Jai and ..............meera's son.
before I leave i would like to say that you are an excellent actor you do your job very well, and I don't want you to leave Ks, I still watch ks cause of u. your fans luv u and I'm pretty sure they don't want you to leave either.

your acting is very good. Don't leave the serial anytime soon. In fact, don't ever leave. I personally feel that you should not gain weight nor lose weight. If you lose weight, you might lose that "old age" image you are trying to keep up. You are doing an excellent job as a father and a husband. Solid acting, especially at the emotional scenes. But, I would like to ask, who is this Vicky character? I mean, after a sixteen year leap, the least age he could be is 16. But he looks much older than that. So, is he adopted? Or is it a blooper? Haha, just curious to know. I always feel that your chemistry with meera is terrific. I think the two of you should join another serial where the two of you are a pair! Of course, I hope your characters will be positive. I would definitely watch that show. To be honest, I would like to say that the serial is going well, yet, there are some times where I have to say "Huh? What is going on? Is that a blooper or something?" In the sense, take Vicky for example. His age seems like a total blooper unless he is adopted. Also, what happened to Atharva? How come your character is so cool when he's gone? Not even once has your character mentioned his name after the leap. Perhaps, you should discuss these problems with Ekta. Not only me, I'm sure that there are plenty out there who feel the same way as me. But, whether you are in KS or in another show, your acting is so good that it can even bring the worst serial to the top 10 serials. I'm not joking at all. I understand what u said abt commitment and professionalism but as a fan who has watched KS since Jan 2006 religiously and who has been JW japper through thick nd thin we have certain expectations through that character na,agree daily soaps are run on TRP's but still the way the characters are being butchered and how Ks defines logic and tests viwers intelligence is that which breaks my heart..
Chalao ab cant do much abt JW its in hands of Creatives and dont have ounce of fate that they will do good but something u can do is give Darshan for atleast ONE Episode in Black Siut with Scarf and Grey lens ,just for one episode bhi chalegha u know have been seriously deprived of Vitamin J aka JW and Vitamin R aka RK ,ab one appearnce as old. Well i truly support your decision to stay in KS! KS will never be the same about you and what you mentioned about commitment is absolutely true! I personally feel that once a person have decided to start on something, it is only right for he/she to continue with it till the end unless its due to some unforeseen circumstances of course that you can't continue.
You're doing a brilliant job and just keep it up! Oh and since you've mentioned about your daughter, hows sweet little Sia doing? Do post a picture of her on your blog! Rather eager to see your little angel! :)

Hope you're doing well... it's great that you've decided to connect with us through this medium of blogging as it will give all of us a chance to get to know the real you better, as most of us just know you through whatever little we hear though the television media, which at many times is corrupted but nonetheless we don't have much option but to go with them at times. Starting from the begining i've loved all your work so far, and i think your performances always always touch our heart, your expressions are killer! Right from Ghar Ek Mandir to Dhadkan to Mansha to Kyunki to Kasam Se now, it wont be an understatement saying that you've outdone yourself each time you do a project, which is most an actor can ask for!
As Jai Walia you've captured most our hearts and this is one character which we're not going to forget for a very long time... come to think of it, Indiantelevision has had some very popular characters but you've redefined popularity all together with "Jai Walia". Each time you come in screen we the viewers are glued to the screen just wanting to watch you, not caring about anything else in the frame. Initially in Kasam Se up to last year i'd say the story too was captivating, but from the last few months with so much happening it has gone pretty insane, with characters poping up from almost no where, things happening without any definate reason. Still we reamin addicted to the show despite the usp of the show missing 'Jai-Bani' and that's all thanks to you. Its you that has kept the viewership alive till date.
More than anything you've (Jai Walia) become the ideal, dream guy for so millions of girls out there...so many fan fictions are written about you and Bani, and are ardnetly read by all of us 'hopelessly in love' with you people...:)

hello. earlier today i found out you had begun a blog. i am a big fan of yours ever since i first saw you on the zee tv programme waqt dil se dil tak. i am only 14 and i don't really like indian seriels but i got into waqt because number 1 the story was interesting and number 2 the acting (yours and everybody elses) was brilliant. you brought out the emotions superbly. i was sad when that programme finished. but now you are back with kasamh se. ekta kapoor is the best when it comes to tv and you are my faviourite tv actor. i love kasamh se but i miss prachi desai as i think she was a great actress. Are you planning on doing films soon? is it true you are doing a small role in golmaal 2? i am going to stop writing now but before i do i just wanted to let you know i do not want you to leave kasamh se. kasamh se is not the same as it was before-it's better! i perfered it when it had you and prachi desai but i wish her the best of luck in bollywood. by the way is it true you had gone to university in america? i have heard this from a friend but i am not sure if it is true or not. good luck for the future and i hope to read your blogs regularly from now on.

Nice to read your second(?) post. Think you've got it wrong if you think people don't want to see you in KS; they do, but back as the 'one-woman-and-that's-Bani-only' man, not someone who who has slept with his sister-in-law and a psycho. To us, this shows that ur character has no intelligence and anyone can make a bhudhoo out of him.
I absolutely love Ash's character and her acting; she's gorgeous, playing her role with shades of grey so that she isn't totally hateful. PPP (Pagal Panga Pia) and Psycho-sick Meera just don't achieve those levels at all.
The original JW was every woman's dream guy cos he was just for B and was strong enough to reject advances from Roshni Chopra, but not, in the end, from his saali, nor from psycho. The 'destructives' have made him a mere pawn in the hands (literally!!) of these female characters. This has made him lose his attraction - now, he's just a regular guy, a b******* who'll bed any woman!
We don't want the serial to end IF the JW/B jodi is not only brought together, but KEPT together - that's the real challenge in life, living together and staying in love.
You must know by now how many adoring fans you have, so they'll be gutted if they don't get their almost daily dose of you. HOWEVER, they don't want to be treated as idiots by the 'destructives' and some of their toatally ridiculous story lines. they need to bring some INTELLIGENT, CREATIVE people on board who realise how much the public love the JW/B jodi and have the capacity to weave interesting stories around them and the rest of the family. Two of your BEST scenes which come immediately to mind are 1) the JW/B 'first night' (blush, blush) and, 2) when JW talks to his unborn child. They were superb because of you and your acting skills. Unfortunately, I don't think the 'Cs' (actually 'Ds') have done justice to you. Commitment is fine, but it should be a two-way (or should that be 3-way, including us the audience???) street. It is very hard for fans like me to believe in JW mouthing his love for B when he did so little to convince her to come back to him, and has spent 16yrs sleeping with her (and his kids') killer!!!! Shouldn't he have been suspicious, having been told by Daksh that the kiler was in the family, wore different size shoes and was out to kill B??? C'mon?
After tonight's epi, I can only feel satisfied that JW is getting his just desserts from Psycho and his brood of misfits - especially Vicky! Oooohhhhhhh! We so hate the idea of JW having slept with Psycho, but he has owned up to doing just that today.
B should stop crying over him and the misfits cos she can't undo the damage of 16yrs (stupid, Eeeks, oops, I mean EK!), tell him who she is, that he is getting what he deserves for having ill-treated her, and then leave him to it, to go back to her painting in Kolkotta. No, I'm lying. What I'd so love to see is that instead of future leaps, we go back 16yrs, to find that all the recent stuff has been going on in B's head whilst she's been lying in hospital. She has had this horrendous nightmare of the awful things Psycho could do to her children and husband, so she comes out of her coma, determined to win back her JW & kids from Psycho, and to mete out some rough justice to the cruel Mra. We would have a younger JW, a revenge story we could believe in, a love we could believe in. Think the TRPs would go up. At present we have an old man nearly 70 claiming to have loved B and yet he has spent more time with her almost-killer than with HER. He has wasted a young woman's life; she's only been good enough to produce children, (but denied the privilege of bringing them up) and kicked out of his house and life several times. Not a very attractive character, eh? Guess I'm a die-hard romantic; I prefer the Jodha-Akbar/Maine pyar kiya/DDLJ/KKHH style of love stories - where the characters LIVE for and WITH each other. Laila-Majnu, Sohni-mahiwal, Romeo-Juliet just irritate.

Finally am here, even just to think that Ram Kapoor might read this makes me nervous…my hands r frozen…well it is freezing here in Africa lol. Jokes aside I hav done lots of Masti on IF & RPR but that is home ground…this is diff…this is bout the man himself…so I just might blabber thru out…but am sure u’ll forgive a hyper fan.
Ok now where do I begin…no the bigger question is where do I end….coz I cud just go on n on bout u. I dunno when or how I became ur pankha but when I saw the first promos of Kasam Se I was like wow my fav actor is coming in this show n have to watch it…n thus started my journey with KS…first 7/8 months were smooth sailing n then came the trials n tribulations with the ONS…and never seemed to end…but I kept hanging on….thinking Kabhi to sudhar jayega but nah the creatives were hell bent on destroying ‘MY MUNNA’….and the final nail came with the intro of Vicky…bas baba I cud not handle it…I wud have broken the screen of my comp n said bye bye to my job…so stopped watchin KS…nahin still do watch when frends tell me that u were brilliant (which is like always when u r given a challenging scene).
Now all I want is for you to turn into GLR mode. Abhi u’ll ask GLR kya hai. When u threw Bani out after suspecting her…I was like my god wot a rascal to believe his sis n not his wife…but dil hai ke manta nahin…n I was like what a ‘good looking rascal’ n thus we gave u the name of GLR…a very loveble GLR. Those performance were just too good…all lean n mean…pehle wala JW ka jhalak aa gaya tha…so now u sud become like that once again…give ur patent left handed solid jhappar to meera…believe me she deserves worse after killing 2 sml kids n Bani (according to her she did). If you fulfil this wish…haila pure death.
I have loads to say but aaj ke liye itna baki kal…I don’t believe in kal ho na ho…lol…btw did I say that love the character of JW portrayed by YOU n not the other way round…JW is JW coz Ram Kapoor plays it, and have loads of respect for you as a person. couldn't stop myself from writing after reading today's update in IF as I don't normally watch the show. I felt really bad the way they showed Jai Walia sleeping with a psycho for 16 years and producing a kid with her, as if all these weren't bad enough Jai Walia himself has admitted of being father Vicky. How can Jai Walia give her a baccha when that psycho has killed the twins. you are talking about commitment which is absolutely right. But don't you think the creative people and everyone of kasamh Se serial has a commitment towards the audience as well. We have been committed to the show KS by sticking to it throughout every rubbish track with the hope one day it will improve. But unfortunately it just got worse day by day. Nowadays I can't even relate myself to this Jai Walia. As Polly said in another post that he has become a regular guy and just would sleep with anyone is so true. This Jai Walia is unrecognizable as the creative or should I say destructive has just butchered him to no limit. Sorry if I said too much, but the serial makers of Kasamh Se has definitely failed to fulfill their part of commitment towards the audience.

just watched today's epi - JW been sleeping with Psycho Mra 25 YEARS??? Sorry, he's beyond redemption now. Where the hell is Jigs and why hasn't he bothered to release her from jail, knowing she's innocent of killing his kids?? JW's got nothing to offer B - she should go find a younger man who might be more true to her! JW must be 70 odd - c'mon, have a look at some 70 yr olds and see how much JW ressembles them (not!). I know it's just a story, but there's a limit, yaar.....
I sooooooooo much want a younger JW back with positive /bright prospects with his supposed 'love of his life' B. This JW is not and has never been B's love. 25 yrs with a murderess and he hadn't a clue?? That makes him toooo stuuuupid.

Where the hell have Maasi, Natchiket, Karuna all disappeared? This is a very annoying habit (one of many!)of EK that characters disappear/reappear without any explanation - it just doesn't happen like that in life.
Frankly speaking, I think we are owed a lot by the 'Ds' cos we have put up with a lot of silly storylines and they have ignored suggestions by the loyal viewers (according to several websites where pople post their views about this show). A show and characters are a hit cos of the viewing public as much as the writers and actors; not a good idea to totally disregard their opinions, then?

I thought I'll just post my views on today's episode. I have one question, why is there so much blooper in Kasamh Se. The leap was for 16 years, so how can Walia family celebrate 25 years of marriage anniversary. It's really annoying to see so much blooper, and so much negativity. While all these things are taking place where are the rest of the family members?
I guess I was wrong as I stated in my previous post Jai to be sleeping around with the killer of his children for 16 years. It seems like all of a sudden the years have increased to 25 years.
You might say all these are fiction and not real etc. But still it's fiction that's why it should be more proper than real life.
Anyways is Ashwini coming back to KS? we all miss her a lot. We miss Prachi too, but wish her all the best for her career.
Sorry for my harsh comment on KS, but that's exactly how I feel about it.

As usual again the only savior of todays blooper filled & disgusting episode was your acting & looks.
BTW where does Ekta/ Balalji find these writers. Do they have any clue what they writing. They should have some fact sheet. Ganga is 23 in one episode, 20 in other & Jay Meera are married for 25 yrs. Jay married Meera when bani was still with him/ Durga phase & then made Bani pregnant with Ganga two years later. Disgusting.Wasn't it enough to say anni. Why 25th?
This Vicky is another blooper. 15 yr old( conceived & born after Krishna ) & graduate?
Ekta needs to hire someone to just keep track of facts.
BTW where is Jigyasa. Still in jail. What kind of brother Jay Walia is? Miss Ashwini. Did she quit because of leap? Anyway other characters are just used like piece of furniture. No one around today when whole drama about kids taking back & Meera supporting them is revealed but will be back on Monday to party.

Just wanted to say, things are looking up in KS. I love the fact that Jai and Bani/Pronita are cooking up a plan together to bring Meera down. I just hope that the creatives show an intelligent and good revenge track.
I also know that its impossible to please everyone. For the many who feel that showing Jai with Meera for so many years is not appropriate, there would be as many or more who would just overlook that and instead want a solid revenge track. I for one feel, in Balaji soaps, age and the years are timeless!! I also feel that the more Meera is enjoying her current status, the harder she's going to fall!!
I would like to say that You, Gurdeep and Pallavi are doing an excellent job! The chemistry between Jai and Meera is something that strikes me, even if Meera is a negative character. Today's episode(5/6/08) was very good and I loved the look that Jai and Pronita shared at the end! Somehow, I feel that Jai and Pronita are going to be good as partners in the "Bringing down Meera" track! Hopefully, the creatives do a good job with this track which has so much potential!

Anyway todays episode was good. Now I watch Kasam Se as totally new show without thinking about Jay Bani pair.At least Jay is not last one to know & he is actually part of plan to get kids back on track. Still waiting for revenge track & hope he knows bout bani's identity & very much part of it.
Jay Bani working together is what was never shown before.
I will sound like broken record but Ram you rocked. Looked great too. It was like this naughty glint in the eye. Agar creative meharban ho & don't goof up like Durga phase which started with bani getting back at Pia & then loosing it it will be fun to watch.
ram...yes i agree with suganthi here...there will be lots more who will overlook the fact of 25 years..after all all revenge dramas and movies also the villain gets his /her just due right at the end after living the life of king/queen for a lot of years...in some cases its the victims kids who grow up and take revenge...
anyway how much ever i might love JB...they are fictional...which is good coz then they do not age or die...so age and leaps and years is just a new begining to the story...i feel..

Let me start by saying that I used to avidly watch the serial kasamh se for a variation of reasons, in fact I even started a fanfic on India Forums, and if there is one thing that has disappointed me tremendously and has left a bitter taste in my mouth, it is the way the character of Jai Walia has shaped up. That being said, pardon my bitterness as a former viewer and what I'm about to say is by no means a reflection on Ram Kapoor, the actor but is rather a constructive opinion on the way I as a former viewer perceive this serial, the story and ultimately your character of Jai Walia, the "protagonist."
I feel, even if the "writers" and kekta kapoor rename KS it would still stink. Of course, I'm sure like you said, there are people out there who are lovin the smell.
Jai Walia (the character)is the most dense businessman, "husband", friend, father, in fact fictional male character portrayed on tv, per me. I can't believe that Ekta and her creatives expect us to believe this character who obviously has had a lobotomy and is brainless and supposedly runs a multimillion dollar company-----who said tycoon? Don't they mean clown? With his giggling and crying on the shoulder of his children's murderer, even wedding and bedding her what can be expected by such a "tycoon". He has millions of dollars but can't investigate what happened to Bani? I understand well that age is something non-existent in Kasamh Se, but it amazes me that Ekta's kreatives are showing Jai Walia in his old age (what is he like 70 now?....at the inception the character was said to be 40 then 5 year leap then second 5 year leap then 20...so what is that? 70?) to be "rocking" meerabhai's world and giggling like a fool infront of porneeta? I can go on and on about the oh so "iconic" Jai Walia but in the interest of time and word count, I will stop here.
Forget poor Jai Walia....it's poor us the audience who are pathetic (including myself for once upon a time being so attached to this serial) to have put up with such an idiot protagonist and ultimately serial.
I Don't want Prachi Desai to come back to this show. I was always in awe of the old man falling for young girl romance and sweet love story which you two as actors brought to life but no more wish to see her waste her talent (much like you) in this serial. Overacting and OTT Gurdeep as Pronita and evil Meera are the women for this Brainless Jai Walia. Let him stay with Pronita (she is not Bani to me), hopefully she won't roll her eyeballs into her head repeatedly at his ignorant giggling. As for Meera she is so evil and cunning she doesn't need a man with brains. She has enough for both. If the brains fail she can always smile her white pearls and put out. So Jai Walia can move between eyeball rolling Pronita and evil murderess Meera. The only hope is that a castrated man won't father any more children. I know he is 70+ but Ekta and the creatives have reverted him back to his second childhood.
Now that he knows how evil Meera is and how rotten she has made his children, what does he do?? The mighty brainless tycoon tries to commit suicide. We couldn't expect that he would be a MAN...he's consumed with HIS own guilt. How much more pathetic can he become? Sleeping with the enemy is all part of the so called revenge track....But of course all the audience can do is go 'tsk tsk'....or follow the dictator Ekta's advice and "dunt watch if you don't like it"....
Now that I'm done cribbing, let me apologize if I have offended you.
As I mentioned before, my comments were not directed towards Ram Kapoor the individual, but Jai Walia, the character. I'm sure your usual "bunch" from India Forums are here to prop you up and sounding like only they can ~~God Bless them~~ and I suspect doing what they also do best on India Forums and that is engaging in alot of duplicity and dare I say under alias names.
While your "committment" towards the show is admirable, one cannot help but qestion, is it a wonder or a blunder?

This is the first time I have written to any celebrity so I do not know how to address you. Maybe calling Mr Kapoor would be just showing how much of influence Kasamh Se has.
Without doubt I love to read blogs . But as of now I have read blogs of mostly politicians (not that I like reading about them but it definitely gives an insight as to how they view things) and its obvious and pointless that one should respond to them. I still do not know what has prompted me to write to you(if my best friend comes to know that I have written to you then she is gonna blast me off. this is the first time I have hid anything from her and I feel awful about it).
Why don't you do some serious TV instead of these shows? I seriously feel we are lacking in that department. Reality shows have become like paan shops. There is one in every nook and corner. But I think we need to promote serious TV like talk shows, gadget shows , animal shows or whatever. And thats also a fact that today's youth would not watch it if there is no celebrity attached to it. I mean I feel Rajdeep Sardesai is the best amongst all anchors holding a talkshow. But who watches him? As opposed to that see Koffee with Karan. You have forums for it. I mean thats fine(even I like that show). But don't you think that todays generation is hooked onto too much entertainment? Agreed that people require it. But there is absolutely no information and no limit to entertainment that is being shown on Indian channels. Even our so called news chanels have breaking news like"Kareena has gained weight" or "Abhishek visits Siddhivinayak". I mean get real guys. People are getting fed bogus and they are enjoying it. So why not big names like you take initiative and do something nice? You are good at anchoring so why not give it a fullfledged shot. But as I maintain, these are personal decisions. You need to see where you want to go. But I would like some real stuff rather than this.
Don't know if we would ever communicate in future. But May God keep you happy always.(and this wish holds true even if we communicate)

Watched the Thursday episode (05/06) was both good n bad…you were good as usual…so watched it again on mute (had to watch the killer smile na)….just could not handle JW going mushy on Meera…even though he was pretending…but am sure I’ll get used to it…it’s just the initial shock kinda thing…coz am loving the idea that JW is gonna give Meera a taste of her own medicine…now this impending marriage…I am so dead sure it’s not gonna happen…coz JW is gonna be a bad boy…he will either not turn up for the wedding (I so wish this happens) or will turn up absolutely sozzeled….and say he went to a pub/disco, started gambling…got drunk etc etc…reminds me of the scene in Sholay where Jai (amitabh Bachan) takes the proposal of Veeru to mausi…it was something like ‘ladka bahut acha hai…bas kabhi kabhi jua khelta hai…etc etc’…so am waiting for Monday to see the bad boy JW. I hope I won’t be disappointed.

Is there no way that Jai Walia can reclaim his brain? Someone in Walia mansion or Mumbai is a criminal. They have robbed Jai Walia of his brain and his USP .... loyalty, integrity and dignity.
It's sad that the mighty Jai Walia has been reduced to such a cartoon. Giggling and crying at the drop of a hat. Relying on Meera for anything that involves brain cells working...and now Pronita - a stranger in Jai Walia's eyes..now has to tell him how to handle his children. HE can't even make those decisions. He would rather committ suicide..a coward's action. Definitely not the action of Jai Walia in the beginning of KS.
Sadly, I think Jai Walia wedding and bedding Meera is a man who deserves Meera and vice versa. She has enough brains for both of them. He doesn't need to think anymore. Meera will do it for him.
As for him gifting her with a child. That was pathetic. A child borne without love. Thanks but keep the gift, Jai Walia you're too generous.

Can't help but comment on weight. As you said you are a married man , a father of cute young kid. You need to watch your weight.
Being doctor in US have seen 20-30 yr olds suffer from stokes, heart problems because of weight.Being an Indian puts us in higher risk too.
Controlling amount of food than not eating certain food helps , also limiting alochol. Smoking adds up the risk.
You should have a goal weight & should check our weight everyday. Oce you start loosing weight you tend to be careful ifit creeps up even by few pounds.

I have been your fan from the days of your show "Nyay" you played the character of Gaurav Makhija. I loved your comic timing in it. I absolutely loved your acting, after that I had been waiting to see you again on the screen. I didn't get the chance to see Ghar EK Mandir because at that time we didn't had cable and trust me I am to be blamed for that because I was and am such a TV junky my mom always gets so mad at me for that but still haven't changed (sorry I am boring you). To cut the story short when I joined India-Forums I came across Kasam Se and trust me when I say I literally screamed out of joy because I saw you in star cast. I did get the chance to see your movie Hazaro Khwashie se asi & Monson Wedding I really liked your acting. I haven't found the DVD for your other movie Kal yesterday & tomorrow. I really liked Kasam Se earlier I know its a universal view of your fans. But really do not want the show to end on a bad note or you to leave it I am watching it only because of you. I really like your pairing more with Prachi she is a really fine actor herself both of your pair was like a breath of fresh air. And your character of Jay Walia is really diff than all of Ekta Kapoor's shows, out of all other shows of Ekta Kapoor I just love only Kasam Se. At 8:44, I saw this beautiful girl praying on a show called Kasamh Se! And right away, my reaction was OMG! Who is this? She's soo pretty. She was the oldest sister named Bani Dixit! I was on India-Forums that night, trying to find out who she was! Turned out ehr name was Prachi Desai! That's how my paagalpan started! Anyways, time for Prachi praising! What can i say about her? She's the best Tellywood actress ever! She''s my favourite! Loved her acting as Bani and her dancing in Jhalak and Jalwa! After I saw {Prachi's first into in Kasamh Se, I was addicted to it, and I was soon addicted to Jai-Bani jodi! Ram and Prachi are my fav. couple! I watched it every single day, didn't miss an episode, until the tragic death of Prachi's Bani! Kasamh Se was over for me. I haven't watched it for almost a month now! My apologies.I had to end my last entry without completing it. Rushing off to dinner and a movie with my family. It was my rant on how Jai Walia has been destroyed as a character, at least from the character he started out as in KS...strong, intelligent, intuitive. A man of dignity, integrity, loyalty and deep emotions now is no more....and that was the reason for the rant.
You definitely try your best with the substandard crap you are given and when you are given something of substance...you always give us a mindblowing performance.
I still can't believe how KS has been completely destroyed and your character has been reduced to rubbish.
Apart from that...I am hoping that KS will come to an end soon and you will find a project that will allow you to use your wonderful talent to its fullest capacity.
The beauty of KS and its USP have been destroyed long ago.
What do you think of Indian serials in terms of creativity considering they are all formulaic and only the actors are different? KS was different and then went the formulaic route with dismal results. Why don't producers listen to viewers or is there such arrogance that their creativity is more important and viewers either watch it and like it or don't watch it?

I responded to what you wrote on RPR blog and did not want to be repeating myself except to say that those pictures are cute and that yes many women out there may still love KS but more than they love you as Jai Walia.
As for KS, well saw Wednesday's and Thursday's episode and your acting as always is the best. Could not believe that they are trying to show the wonder kid Vicky as Jai and Meera's which is just sick but then it is all the creatives' doing. I am wondering Ram if we are going to get our old JW back who never stayed quiet like he did when Meera was bad mouthing his Bani...I was waiting for him to react and slap Meera but was disappointed when it never happened....instead we saw him wanting to commit suicide (that is being coward na) but then on Thursday, when the revenge was planned and started and knowing that now Meera will be getting a taste of her own medicine (it is about time). Ram your performance like always was great....towards the end when that issue of remarriage between Jai and Meera was brought up (sick). I so do not want too see that and hoping we do not get too see it.
You know Ram, instead the idea of wife swapping sounds good (kya kare....thinking of ideas for weekend to keep mind away from a Jai and Meera remarriage)or even being the "bad" JW would be so loved too. Hope too see the purana JW back with the revenge

Saw the last few episodes of KS n to say I was disappointed would be an understatement, no don’t get me wrong, you were brilliant as always, you are the only saving grace of KS these days, KASAM SE. The whole new entrant is crap, especially the new Bani. Why does she have to overact so much? For me she spoilt every JB scene. Bani was 29 when was presumed dead, so after 16 yrs she would be 45, that’s not old according to me. With age comes maturity not histrionics. What is this lady trying to do, Is she trying to match up to Ram Kapoor in acting skills. Well I’d say she is failing miserably, she needs a reality check and to tone down her expressions. You are a natural and it will take lot of experience and practice to match up to your skills, you are the best and she should not even attempt to try matching up to you. I wish Prachi was still the Bani, that jodi was such a prefect on screen Jodi. She was demure, soft and feminine; this new Ban seems harsher than JW in her expressions. Plastic surgery can change the persons face but not the inner self. I along with many of my friends find this JODI a big disaster.
I might sound rude but hey I have not missed a single episode of KS till date, and I have loved it till the leap. After the leap, with Vicky being introduced as Jai n Meera’s son it was a big shock and very disappointing to me. I cursed the writers whole heartedly, but took it as a bitter pill and thought at least with JB out to take revenge would be fun. Now I really don’t know if it will be fun or torture, as this new Ban just does not give the same kind of entertainment value as the Original Bani did.
Even if I sound repetitive, I’ll say you are brilliant and I really really respect you as a person and an actor.

In the earlier epis of KS the comic track of Dadi, Aditya and Jigs was just right - they made me laugh many times with their timing and expressions. How I miss that!
Ash should do a comedy show or film; have you ever tried your hand at comedy?? A challenge, na?
From being a fairly 'balanced' show, KS has become quite dark and depressing.
Hi to Siddharth; feel sorry that his role has been reduced to walking into scene, smiling/looking shocked as per requirement, and walking off. Shame on the Ds for not treating all the other characters with dignity. I - like hundreds of others - used to look forward to the JW/B moments, but there was an enjoyment of the whole show too. This has, sadly, changed since the AD story which led into the awful Daksh story, into the nightmare of Psycho....
We're selfish enough to want to see you in a romantic lead - with little children like the first Krishna/Atharva who were VERY CUTE; NOT the current awful misfits.
Did you know that Saat Phere started at about the same time as KS? I started to watch KS cos of the Saat.. being on tv just before it. Saat.. has had NO dreadful time leaps and their Cs have kept the popular jodi of Nahar/Saloni together, without extra-marital affairs and illegitimate kids. Surely that gives lie to E(ee)k's belief that time leaps increase TRPs?? By the way, watching my recording of SBS, realised it was E(ee)k's birthday yesterday - wish her for me please.

I totally agree with comparison of Kasam Se & saat phere. I don't watch Saat phere. But my mom does so vaguely know whats going on.Its still going great most times better than Kasam Se TRP wise in spite of not having great cast like Kasam Se ( thats the reason I can't watch it).
You don't need multiple marriages, separation of protognist, leaps. Thats a misconception of Balaji.
Ekta should have on site gym where people can work out in between shoots. Lot of you need it with long working hours.You guys need to suggest it to her.

I’m another ‘victim’ of yours, smitten by your perfect acting and personality. I’m glad that you started this blog and truly appreciate your effort in keeping in touch with your fans.
You are right, commitment is commitment and I understand your attachment to Kasamh Se. It gives you popularity, awards and fans…I won’t deny that today I’m here, typing this message to you because of Kasamh Se too. But sometimes when the story becomes indigestible, I feel ‘cheated’/hurt, maybe because I’m too attached with the characters, especially with my very own Jai Walia.
And regarding weight losing tip (since you asked)……don’t worry I won’t ask you to exercise as I hate it too (I understand that with busy schedule it is very difficult to find time to exercise). The tips…maybe you should stop taking your all your favourite food completely for some time (we tend to eat more when we like the food isn’t it?) ….this was suggested by a dietician when I wanted to lose weight long time ago…..I know this sounds lame, but trust me, this worked out for me…..
Your acting and dialogue delivery is just perfect, I just loved it when you say ‘goddamit’….did you add the word by your own or was it given by your writers? Only Jai Walia can say it with perfect voice modulation! And your chemistry with the little Ganga was awesome, I missed those moments.
And finally, I would be glad if you can share with us some interesting moments in sets.

Hi Ram I thought if I cant be first on your blog let me be the 100th. Today I was reading the other replies on your blog and I actually started laughing. Hamare Bihar main they say ‘sad mundwate hi ole pade’ it is so true here. You started a blog and all our frustration of KS is pouring out and to think you have nothing to do with it. Most of the people love you as an actor, that I can see from your blog, IF and RPR but most of us are disappointed with KS someway or the other. Some are disappointed with the new actors, some with the storyline but all of us are disgusted at Vicky being Meera’s son by JW. I mean hell what will the man go thru when he actually comes to know that for the last 16 yrs he has been sleeping with his own kids murderer and if that is not enough he even sired a child with her. Will he want to live? Even if he takes revenge is it worth it, Meera got what she wanted.
It must be frustrating to read so much negative comments about your serial but I want to tell you that it’s not at you, not even 1% is for you. All the people I know like you immensely including me. You know what I really want, I want Ekta to start a blog…OMG it would be an interesting read….I mean the comments. I of course would refrain from commenting. I am trying to be nice these days. Lol.
Keep up the good work, we watch KS for you. Frankly speaking I gave up for three weeks but then started having withdrawal symptoms…I needed my Vitamin J…so I wait for my friends to tell me if JW was there or not, if he was for more than 5 minutes then I download else give it a skip. KaSam Se getting little better. HOw i wish there wan't 16 yr leap. 75yr old Jay Walia getting married again is not very exciting thought even when its played by Ram. Why was 50+ yr old Meera trying to be a bashful bride.

Can't Vicky be Meera's adopted son as a blooper just like so many others. Between Krishna being youngest & JAy admiting to have given A kid to Meera I will happily ignore later. First one is better.

i used to watch kasam se religiously but stopped when prachi started doing a cut and paste job with everybody shooting separately..i thought it made fun of my intelligence as a viewer...but started watching it again after gurdeep came in...i must say i am very pleasantly surprised...i am really liking it...both of you look good as jai and bani and story is good...and production values are so much better...

Ok, Ma was just telling me (for my use!) about how to achieve weight loss as per the yoga prog she saw today: 4 glasses of water with 6tspns of adrak rass + 50g jeera to be boiled and reduced to half. Drink throughout day - but no food! Do this for 3 days. Then for 7 days, drink just moong ka paani taking 2 tspns triphula at night time - again no other food. Thereafter, eat loads of steamed vegetables - nothing else - for 2 & half weeks. Should reduce weight. Chalo, although I'm not fat, I am overweight, so I'm going to give this a go and will advise you on the outcome. (God! I hope I can resist the urges of my sweet tooth!)

Loved the catfight in yesterday's episode(10th June) and Jai Walia's reaction to the whole fight! It was cool the way Jai was reacting and also loved that Bani/Pronita was not docile or crying, but taking action! Meera was an able opponent in the fight, but glad that Pronita was winning! You know, the good over evil!

How cheap has Kasamh Se turned? My gawd, to get TRP's, you people now resorted to cat fights and more cheapness. I have a nine year old daughter and I damm sure don't want her watching this shit so please convey to your writers to be mindful. My daughter who keeps watching thinking and waiting that Bani will be back watched tonights episode and came running to be yelling mummy mummy fight fight. I don't let my child watch wrestling and I sure as hell don't want her coming across such cheapness and violence on prime time. I understand well y'all are in the entertainment business and everything is about TRP's but there should be some level of social responsiblity. I can appreciate that you people wanted to show an explosive scene of animosity ,enemity and revenge but you people could have shown such a scene in a less distasteful manner.

Yest Cat Fight i had a good laugh thou it was Cheap i had fun watching it.
It was a long wish to see Bani and Pia to have a cat fight for jai while he sippn whisky but i was for more of Verbal,not something like they showed yest,but still cant belive they fulfilled my wish,now one more left one is to see munna in jail in those stripped chaddi's.
Loved ur expressions and dialogue ,u cracked me up esp the one with vicky and also when u say ur manager to deduct the amount from meera's account.
But had to say this how much i enjoyed yest episode some where it did'nt fit bani's image ,the blew off the Decent,Dignified and Elegant Bani Walia Image (potrayed extremly well by Prachi) with that.

I just wanted to say something about kasam se..I know is popular and all..no doubt..but don't you think in today's contemporary society, it is making people feel that all that women are good in is scheming and plotting? Why isnt that there are roles where women are shown doing something constructive? Yes, you as JAi walia are a business tycoon and all that..but what about others? We are really far behind compare to india or any other part of the world. I started watching Kasamh Se last year April, and i became a fan of yours and Prachi. I couldn't take the suspense as what is going to happen in the drama that i joined india forum as now I am following the episodes as per India. I am not the only one who is crazy bout Kasamh Se and YOU but my mom, sister and my all my sister's friends are also big fans of yours. I think you are doing a great job in Kasamh Se. I personally think I prefer to see you on screen with Prachi as the Bani for Jai Walia. I think the chemistry between you two have some sparks. Altough i have thought of stop watching Kasamh Se so many times but i just can't do it. Maybe the reason WAS because of YOU and PRACHI but now its SOLELY because of YOU. I will tell you honestly what I think. Totally honest. I think kasam se is just nonsense just like all other Zee Tv shows. I have subscribed here in US. I Would tell you What I think of them.
1. Zee Tv - I would say all TV shows show ladies scheming against other family members mainly other ladies. That helps perpetuate a bad image of Indian Women. There are no TV shows worth mentioning. I got it mainly for bollywood movies.
2. Tv Asia - The only Tv show worth seeing would be theAbhi to Main Jawan hoon - which shows old Hindi movie songs. That is it. There is no other TV show worth seeing. This channel comes in apackage with ZEE Tv or Sony Tv.
3. Sony Tv _ I like 3 Tv shows - Comey Circus, CID, And Jeeto Chapar Phaad ke - which has Salman Khan as host. Nothing else is worth watching. The TV shows - dramas are almost the same as the ones on ZEE TV.
I would say I am really disappointed in TV dramas. With Zee Tv just moving cameras again and again, with flashes on the faces of Tv actors/actresses, the dull unimaginative stories, the por acting, its all been a bad experience.
Then I would like to make a point about Indian movies specially the bollywod ones - Listen bad dancing, lip syncing, bad songs, bad plagarized stories from foreign movies, parading like a model, unkempt hair and bushy beard is not acting. It is waste of time for people who appreciate good movies and know what a good movie is.
Hello - Yelling is not acting. Yelling is sign of weakness and desperation. Please don't yell when you act and this is directed at all Indian actors/actresses - TYv shows and bollywood movies.
