First blog's the deepest

I always wanted to blog. It promised a one-on-one with fans, that's the most exciting thing an actor can experience... but my schedule thought otherwise. Until now, that is. I've decided that 18-hour shoots or not, I AM GOING TO GET SOME ONLINE DISCIPLINE! I am going to blog as often as my schedule permits.

And now, when I've gone and said that the 'first blog's the deepest', I'm afraid I can't think of anything terribly deep to say. But please - dear reader, fan, viewer, friend - whoever you are - be patient. I will get better at this as time goes by.

I think it's only fair to start by revealing why I chose to start a blog. While I tend to avoid most press, I love interacting with people who have anything to say about me. While viewers in India got a fair share of me (and the rest of tele-indsutry) through Mumbai Mirror or Aaj Tak, it was mostly one-way interaction. I did - someone wrote - you read. Very rarely did I get to hear the viewer (India-forums being an exception). Fans out of the country didn't even get the small doses of masala that Mumbai Mirror tended to dish out so effectively.

Now I've traveled out of the country about 7 times in the last year - and each and every time I was amazed at the response an Indian TV actor generated on the streets of London or New York. In London, for example, it's much more difficult for me to go out for a walk without getting approached. Don't get me wrong now - I love the attention. My point is -that there's a serious, dedicated base of people who love Indian television, Kasamh Se (and therefore me) all over the World. I have sampled international adulation and I must say, in the words of Bono - it's the sweetest thing :)

While I do have a fear of turning out a flat-boring blog, I feel an even greater thrill at the thought of finally connecting with all you people. Leave me a comment. I'm hoping you will. Feedback on the show, weight loss tips, your views on .... anything! I will read them try and reply to as many as I can. There's only that much a man can type while bouncing in the backseat of a car doing 12 kph on the Western Express highway...

So - this blog's for both - my Indian fans and the guys who are spread all over the globe. My way of staying in touch with everyone who loves me and my work. Thank you and see you around.

Keep smiling,
Ram

Hi Ram

I am a big fan of yours, I love the Jai Walia, but now i feel he has been butchered to death so many times that he is unrecognisable. They want to show a revenge track wit Jai & Bani, but what revenge, Meera got what she wanted, 16 years and a child with the man she WANTED. now in old age even if she dies of Diabetes or heart attack, how does it matter. agree or disagree, will love to know your opinion.

Love

Hi Ram,

I can't say that I've seen your earlier works or that I'm a fan but I have seen your (earlier) work as Jai Walia (I say earlier because I don't watch the serial anymore)and have to applaud the life you've put into the earlier Jai Walia. As a viewer, I felt as though I was watching the reactions of a real person and everytime you sweetly blushed or got a twinkle in your eye I couldn't help but go "awwwwwwwwwwww". Similarly, every time it would be shown that Bani is giving Jai Walia heartburn I would yell at Bani(I know how silly). This brings me to my most favorite reel jodi on television and that is none other than Jai and Bani (the real one). Because the jodi of Jai and Bani has been my most favorite for many reasons, I have to commend the effortless ease in which you've brought to life one-half of the jodi and of course the other half being the supremely sweet and graceful Prachi Desai. Pardon my bias, but if I may, I would love to see you both in another serial (preferably a NON-EKTA KAPOOR production) as I feel that there is an aura of freshness and something extremely rare about the odd pairing of a young girl and old man (I'm not calling you old but you get what I'm saying, right?)

Kasamh Se, I feel has lost its freshness and your character of Jai Walia is now a caricature of its former self. I remember how I used to not miss a single episode of the serial and would even watch re-runs. Now I refuse to recognize the serial and feel your talent is being wasted in such a production.

All the best in your future endeavors and please give a hug (if possible) to the other half of my most most most favorite jodi in reel.

-MK

Hi Ram,
I am a big fan of your acting. The way u have portrayed the character Jai Walia it's superb. No one could have done better than you. But the problem is that I don't like kasamh se now. This is not the kasamh se that I fell in love with. that is long lost.
the character Jai Walia has been butuchered so much that I don't feel connected to the character now I can't relate to it.
There was I time when I used to rush from college to watch the repeat telecast of kasamh se which come at 3Pm in UK. My brothers used to call me crazy that how can I be attached to a serial this much. They used to call me Jai Walis ki dewani, Bani ki chamchi etc. but now I want to watch but I can't. I don't know why. All the characters seem alien to me now. This is just not the same kasam se. I want to say many more things but maybe some other time because I was supposed to be doing my asssignment which I have to submit 2morrow and here I m sitting and writing on ur blog. so all the best.U just keep doing ur wonderful work.

Hey Ram, you are an awesome actor, I watch Kasam se on and off, your acting strikes a cord with me, I wish you all the best professional and personally.

Hey Ram,
You are a good actor but I always wonder how you agree to mouth or go with the plots as inane as in Kasamh se right now. I can understand the creatives want a twist but come on, why have Bani so brutally hurt while her husband is blissfully unaware of anything.
Does this happen anywhere in anyone's world? Where is his love that he keeps professing to her? Also whats the deal with this Vicky character, why does Jai Walia need another son - and that too with a sick person?

Good Luck!

who is reaching new heights in acting with every episode of kasamh se!u r just too good,ur performances just blow away the screen, first u played the role of that oh deliciously stern business tycoon ,then a business magnet reluctantly falling in love in a demure middle class girl ,then a loving and protective husband and now a caring father,u have potrayed these images of jai walia brilliantly hats of to you, kasamh se bacame hit because of your and prachi's sizzling onscreen chemistry it just blew sparks but now after prachi's exit i watch kasamh se only for u!!i would like to share with u some, although ur may be 18 yrs older than me u are first crush!i just finished my class 10 boards even then i did not miss a single episode of kasamh se even before the exams but still i topped my skool,i consider u as my lucky charm!

Ram, You are great. U r acting style is unique, very subltle compared to usual loud acting in usual Tv shows.Jai Walia is popular just because of you. No one else could have been able to play it.

But don't like Kasam Se & buturing of Jai Walia & his love for Bani. This Jai who has a kid with Meera, & can't feel his bani's presence is just too much to see. Transition of Ganga is unbelievable too. Things are totally illogical like 15 yr old boy graduating & working. I know you don't like to interfer with creative team. But please pass on the opinion which I can see is kind of universal.

Am sticking around just for you. But wonder how long i can.

Why don't you take up some other show instead. Something where you don't have to be 70 yr old man.( even though you make it realistic even being in 30s)

Would like to know about u r views of current Kasam se. Do you miss Prachi. Is the atmosphere different now or you guys still have masti.

I am truly humbled that despite your busy schedule you are actually taking time off to update the blog just to keep us updated! You are indeed a brilliant actor and i admire your acting skills especially the way in which you potray the character of Jai Walia. I am proud to say that i am a HUGE FAN OF RAM KAPOOR AND KASAMH SE! You're the reason Kasamh Se is still going on well!!

Updated your blog as often as possible!! (no pressure though) haha ;)

I liked eariler Jai Walia But right now i am very disappointed with KS.the current story-line is tottly Disgusting.i don’t like this 16 years leap,JM having a kid.Creatives are not doing any Justise to your character.your talent is wasting here.
I want to see you in a new show ,in a new powerful character where you can play your actual age because i don’t want to see you playing father of grown up kids.

Goodluck for your future

Dearest Ram,

I highly appreciate your attempt to connect with the viewers. After all, the viewers are the stars' strength, isn't it? Right now, I don't watch Kasamh Se. Too much work pressure and total pessimestic storyline made me stop watching the show finally. But I dearly miss your acting, and off course Prachi.

I've to say that Jai Walia has been my favourite TV character among all, until his character was destroyed completely. Well, he still is my favourite character - I just try to forget what they turned him into. But the most amazing thing is that you managed to portray all the phases of JW's life wonderfully.

The characters Jai & Bani and their breathtaking chemistry has such an impact on us, we create a new Jai & Bani everyday with our fan fictions (ahem, my current one has a 22 year old JW and I take liberty to call him MY JW :$). These two character has won our heart and they'll always remain there like they were in the golden era of Kasamh Se - the Raging, Smart, Intelligent & off course dashing JW and the sweet, innocent, beautiful and at the same time very determined Bani. The magic can never die off.

Well, I think I've taken enough of your busy shcedule and should just stop typing now. Best of luck to you and Kasamh Se!!!

Love you,
Britz

Hey Ram,
(I know you are very much older than me but I will stick to Ram)
It was just today I read in the MM about your blog, and believe me I was quite pleased to know. So here I am penning a reply. I appreciate your efforts “to keep in touch” with your zillion fans (hyperbole not intended, seriously you have many many fans…).
I loved the black (my favorite color) backdrop of your blog with that amazing picture.
Well, I absolutely love your acting, it feels as if the real JW [I know there is no such person, but I am talking about the character] is walking, talking, smiling, crying [which he does all the time] etc.
You have literally breathed life into the character of JW. Your acting has been stupendous and awesome (I am running out of words…) throughout these years of KS and I know it will continue to be the best in future also.
But I somehow feel Ekta (don’t mind, I respect her a lot) is wasting your opulent talent. I as a viewer am quite frustrated watching the bizarre twists and turns in KS off late, to be honest KS has lost its old world charm and magic. If I am still watching it’s only because of you. I would love to see you doing something different, something else, like the J.R. Thakral act, I personally loved you in that cat man avatar. You were mind-blowing.
Try and do something different, a contrast to JW, I heard you are doing Mahabharata, even though I can’t imagine you in those costumes but still playing a complex character as Dhritarashtra’s will be a challenge, because your eyes are your strength, you emote with your eyes, no dialogues are required at all, and playing a blind character will be a real BIG THING. I know you will do justice to it if at all you’re playing that part.
I think that’s all I can think of for now.
Hope to read from you!!!

God bless
Dhani

jai ram ji ki.,:)
to begin with a great beginning to your blog..an excllent way of reaching out to your many fans..
i see a lot of people from india forums here already...lol..
as an actor i think you are really brilliant and deserve every bit of the credit and success that comes your way...
one of the reasons i started watching kasam se in its hay days was ur character and portrayal of jai walia..a no-nonsense hardcore businessman...(wat have the creatives turned it into only they know)and the second reason was of course your sizzling chemistry with prachi desai onscreen...one of the best matured and silent love story one got to see..and one has to thank you for that...i think there was an article some time back about your "cold war"with prachi...was that true or just a figment of someones wild imagination..?pls. do clarify if u can..
also how different is it for you wen ur co-star changes..is it the same workin wid gurdeep as it was with prachi or does it differ?
you wont believe but even after practically stayin in your area and praying that i get a glimpse of you luck has never been on my side ...sighh
do cont. writing..

hi ram,
i have always liked your acting from the time of ghar ek mandir, you are just awesome, and kasam se was on of my Favorite soap, but now i think its going too slow and you people are just dragging it, please dont do that as its becoming too boring, but let me tell you this, that now also your acting is the best, and you are too cute. keep up the good work.... and all the best for your future, and also to tell you that you two make a very cute pair, that is u and your wife, just lose some weight, as u look very fat in front of her, please dont mind:-)

Hi Ram... I'm from UK... and it's nice to see your blog that too for your overseas fans... really cool idea... you're an wonderful actor... you simply put life into the character of Jai Walia... that he seems so real... I'm no longer a regular viewer of KS... as Jai Walia's character has been butchered mercilessly to no limit... the creative has turned him into a baby producing machine... wasn't having a child with your sister-in-law enough that he produced more kids with Meera who has killed his (JW's) twins... very immoral twist indeed... and there's loads of bloopers in Kasamh Se... KS has lots it's magic and grace ... and I don't think it will return... I know actors can not change the script or the direction of the storyline... but still felt like expressing mt opinion regarding Kasamh Se as a viewer...

Nevertheless with so much butchering if I still occasionally watch Kasamh Se... that is only for your wonderful acting... your chemistry with Prachi was mind blowing... looking forward to seeing you in other shows and program in future... wish you all the best...

Kind Regards
Holly

Hello Ram,

Ur acting in KS u knw what it makes to women so I kinda feeling awkward and I dropped in coz I am perpetually at INDIA FORUMS also...so makes sense!

Two things, well not advices, and believe me I am too working on them:

1. Pls lose ur weight, improves ur personality and health. Right?

2. Try to do some more good work, hire a secretary or someone, do some good stuff (beside KS) on TV and films. FILMS MUST, SO THAT I CAN BUY UR DVD....believe me if u grow slimmer, and hire gud PR, I am sure u gonna get some meaty roles in Bolly or may be Holly.

Take care, all the best....

So Ram most people have commented on how you are a fantastic actor (which you are!!!) but I would like to vouch for the fact that you are an amazing human being. There are many who claim to appreciate their fans and see eye-to-eye with them (as opposed to look down upon the fans) but you are among the RARE few who truly do live up to that. I had the honor of meeting you sometime back on the sets and let me just say you are probably the most down-to-earth (very successful) tv star there must be in Indian Tellywood. I always wish the best for you and I hope you know you have immortalized Jai Walia for some of us girls. We don't wanna marry anymore because there just aren't any Jai Walia's out there!!! So while I love you (oh and Jai Walia)-I am not sure my parents and family do ;-) You should blog on that!!!

OMG I cant believe this Ram Kapoor himself this is like a wish come true. I admire you as an actor and respect you as a person. I wish you would do more roles. Loved Jas Thakral. you were too good. Any more roles like that would just be wonderful. One thing I would like to know from you, Are you doing Ekta's Mahabharat. I hope not, I wont be able to see you as a blind man, your eyes are your biggest asset according to me.

Ram,

I saw you first in kasam Se & got hooked on the show. Loved your & Prachi's pair.I liked your jas Thakral too. Wonder why it didn't click. Bt continued with AD & Meera in Kasam Se even when people hated then why did they cut short Jas? It was totally different than JW but you were great in that too.

Wish to see something like that. But please i hope you are not playing Dhrutarashtra in Mahabharat. Role of a blind character for someone who has beautiful eyes who speak volumes. It will be such a waste.I don't doubt you can play it well. Just can't tolerate.

Any way will keep watching you & making my husband jealous looking at the expression on my face when i watch your show.

hi ram,
just read ur interview into dnaindia...the one about prachi, gurdeep and ks ...
i must say i am mighty impressed ..

i just had to write in to tell you that i agree totally with you..and like your keep moving with feet firmly on ground and eyes wide open....attitude
i think prachi infused life in bani but gurdeep is doing a good job too...i never saw gurdeep before but wanted to give her a fir chance as i thought there'll be people writing her professional obituary from 1 st day itself...but now i like the new JB too..i do think u guys make a good onscreen pair too...
having said that ..probably its not gurdeep replacing prachi which would be a big problem...the problem that the creatives should really worry about is that the new generation is totally lack lustre...and there is none who people will identify or even want to see the story of...
i for one would love to see more of jai and bani scenes...but you all know that..jb is the usp of ks...
would love to see rano's story ...

loved ur scenes as a father ...with ehsaas who i thought was brilliant...and the grown up ganga too...
its just that independently the whole new generation has not much screen presence...

vasudha said...

sorry forgot to add...
how would you like to do jai walia and atharva walia in ks?...
we'll love that...atleast we'll connect with atleast 1 jb kid...waise krishna is kinda cute too...

Vasudas idea of you playing Atharva (may be with another 5 yr leap) sounds great. We will get double dose. But I knowit will mean more work for you.

But I love that idea.

Anonymous said...

ram...dunt watch ks no more but you're a very talented man. loved the old jai wali. i would suggest taking up another serial or sho cause kasamh se has become pathetic (per me). my mother rightly said the other day that only people with no intelligence (people who allows ekta's brilliant kreatives to pull a wool over their eye) would still watch kasam se or any of her serials. considering she got alot of serials on air i guess that's alot of people. sadly i was one of those people but i guess it was more because i was more a fan of the actors than the story and so now that my favorite actor in the serial is no more there I don't watch.

few ppl may lik new gal playing bani and thats good for them cause they still clearly watch the serial for whatever reason, but if I may provide some constructive criticism without being spiteful (people tend to be spiteful for no rhyme or reason and I don't want to come across as doing that but genuienly want to give you some constructive criticism to give to the new gal). I saw a little bit of Gurdeep's portrayal as Bani and I feel many times than not, she is over the top with her acting. While I understand Bani is supposed to be strong, she needs to also remember that the essence of Bani is Bani's calm and subtleness. Gurdeep may or may not be a 'brilliant' actress but if she cannot connect to the essence that is Bani, she will ultimately not connect to the majority of the audience. And so I would suggest that she calms down alittle.

Speaking of Bani, as I said I don't watch your serial anymore but with a bitter sweet note I've gotta say that I terribly miss the old Kasamh Se. I remember i would never miss a single episode n would always wonder what's going to happen in the lives of Jai and Bani even thou before i used to root for bani and pushkar. but then jai walia came in the scene and I was like pushkar who? it's jai and bani but loved the bani and pushkar portrayal. anywayz, thnx for bringing to life the old jai walia and bringing to life half of my all time favorite reel couple.

all the best to you for kasamh se and if you still keep in contact with Bani, on my behalf wish her all the best for her movie and tell her there is one viewer who cant wait to watch her on the big screen thou she's missed on the small eqaully.

OK..........I am not saying that you are a great actor, very cute smile....blah blah......because there is no point stating the obvious again and again. Ha Ha!!

OK, so I have been your fan since the ghar ek mandir days. You and Gautami make a very cute couple, really!!

Blogging is a nice innovative way to interact with your fans across the globe, and I am glad you've taken the first step in the television industry. Blogging is pretty popular already in the film industry.

There's just one request. Don't use your blog to vent out your personal ire at some person or take a dig at any personality. I mean there are some real serious bloggers here, and such activity just degrades the medium.

You can talk about so many issues that are affecting us in one way or the other, and you being a celebrity will attract maximum attention.

As for ideas to blog on, you can talk about your struggle in the industry, the hardwork and dedication that went into making the RAM KAPOOR that we know today. It'll definitely be very inspiring.

I am looking forward to Ekta Kapoor's Mahabharat. One magnum-opus, for sure.

It's a nice idea, to know Ram Kapoor, the person through this blog. We all know Ram Kapoor, the actor but what he is within, few know.

I don't know if you will be reading these comments personally, well I'd like to believe you do. I fyes, please give me a comment on my blog.

Good luck to you, Gautami and your little angel :)

Cheers

ram ji,
i love u becoz i love the name 'ram'..and u r really a very smart and handsome guy among television that i got to see..and i loved the way u ignore our very dear loved Bani and when you cant stop urself from falling in love with her..they way u blush and make bani blush, they way u take care of her...omg i love mr. jai walia, but then there are so many things that makes me unhappy with the kasam se that once made many of us to fall in love with ram and prachi..maybe you should try to help us to convey this message to ur creative pppl... so when did u planned to come to malaysia...? i will definitely come to meet if u come down to m'sia.

with lots love

Hai, kassamse I liked your acting in Ghar Ek Mandir. Then came Kassamse. You are great in Kassamse. Still remembering your talking to Krishna and Atharva when they were in Banis womb. Great acting. I cant miss Kassamse because of your acting. Wish you all the best.

Hi Ram,

Well too much has already been said abt your acting skills. Lets not repeat all of that all over again. I liked what I read of your blog, n i think its a good thing to connect to your fans this way rather than we hearing the stories from other various sources.

Do write abt your experiences. What we all know of you is the on screen Jai Walia. What we would like to know abt you is who you really are as Ram Kapoor.

Do keep blogging its always nice to know 1st hand abt your fav actors than the other ways.

Waiting to read more from your end.

Hi Ram,
I used to like Kasamh Se when it started...it was a good story etc... however i find it boring as the track is just dragging on & on... dont u feel bored of such non-sensical tracks... dont u think that every story should have a definite ending than dragging it unnecessarily...

wishing u best of luck for ur even brighter future.(want to see u playing a lead in a good movie)

Just love your performance in KS... well sadly its the only show I have seen you in...
I don't watch much of Indian Soap... But I simply love KS!
You and Prachi made a success of the show.. I would sincerely hope to see her again in the show ..
but I kept watching just for you..
however, I am not so happy about the 16 year leap... it makes you a much much older guy... but stay sweet.. we all will love you no matter what!!

Hey Ram,

Your acting is superb and very brilliant. But ever since Prachi left Kasamh Se, the show has become a lil boring. But your acting is really good and youa re like a teddy bear that anyone can just hug all the time :) *hugs*

hi ram. it's gud to know that u can now interact with ur fans directly. i m not ur fan ,sorry for that. the biggest drawback is kasam se. the show is not going on a right track according to me. all negativity is not good. but i like u as an actor.

qHey Ram!
SBS have a lot to do with my writing to u today. Like majority of the writers, I fell in love with the JW/B jodi and love story (tho I didn't watch it from the start), and then, I discovered that SBS kept us abreast of the happenings in the TV world - including KS. So I started to watch their show regularly just for KS.
Like many of the 'true' fans, I feel very disappointed (no, actually, very angry) by the storylines and awful, unnecessary time leaps. It's become nigh on impossible to empathise or sympathise with the characters - they cause more irritation rather than entertainment. Boy, could I have a field day with the so-called 'creatives' of Balaji - in fact, I prefer to call them the destructives. JW is no longer intelligent nor loving (like the character was when he spoke to his unborn child, singing its mother's praises). He has become nothing more than an idiot, a pawn in the hands of Jigs/Karuna/PPP (Pagal Panga Pia!!!!)/ AD and worst of all, psycho-sick Meera!!! How could he possibly be a rich influential man when he couldn't keep his wife out of an asylum?
It's sooooo sad, no, I mean I'M so sad that I know I could write a thesis on KS and the characters. Isn't that just too sad? EK lost this plot some time ago and the 16yr leap was the LAST thing the show needed.
I thought she might redeem JW by showing that he had felt that the woman with 'Baba' might be B at the hospital (after psycho bashes her head & burns her) and so kept in touch, to ensure she was taken care of away from the murderer.... well, I got carried away, I guess. The 'destructives have continued to do their worst. The new generation - there's nothing attractive about them at all. Frankly speaking, the JW/B love story was much more interesting.
It's a shame how the rest of the characters have rarely got their dues and are left on the side-line to be nothing more than decorations, simply there to populate the set, to smile or show surprise as & when required. I echo the views already mentioned by many about the psycho/JW son - another reason JW is out of favour; he has not remained a one-woman man - unforgivable; has produced a child with psycho? Can't believe him when he is supposed to be talking to
B about undying love - sounds like b*******t (sorry!!!) Where's Atharva? Not even B has asked about him. Amazing for a mother. Can't even feel any sympathy for B cos she has refused to come to Mt Abu for 16yrs??? She deserves her tears - but we're fed up of sacrifices!
Think I've said too much may be?
Chalti hoon, please convey our concerns to the 'destructives' in the hope they might become 'creative' tho how, can't see yet cos JW has lost all credibility.

Dear Ram,

Thank you for acknowledging my mail. Like you I am also a working professional who has been doing the same type of job over last so many years. At times I feel like chucking it and going off to Himalayas, sit alone staring at the snow capped mountains but then when I think from where I will get money to by my silk saris, Levis jeans, fancy handbags, shoes, EMI for my flat/car, I am back at my desk next morning on time.

Ram, we know what commitment means and you are the reason that we are still in touch with KS. We never accepted Meera and the killer having 22 years of good life and 16years of leap was absolutely unacceptable. The capital punishment of this country is 14 years, instead if the leap was for 16 months we could have accepted it, and revenge track would have made sense.

Many of us are married, many of us are not but we all have our share of personal and professional problems, we accept twists and turns make the story interesting but last 8/9 months KS has hardly given us a reason to smile, we want to forget our problems and enjoy a show for 1/2 hour at least everyday, as a viewer is it too much to ask? With best regards, Tinni

ram... this is Ruma from the uk. Firstly i would like to say that you are a fantastic actor. I have been watching kasam se from day one... I love the way you emote and your expressions are too good and most importantly i love the way you use your eye to convey your emotions without saying a word. Secondly i just love your jodi with prachi desai... you both remind me of srk/kajol jodi... if only prachi could come back to kasam se. Lastly ram a sincere request to you... please leave kasam se and start something where you will play your age and act opposite prachi desai in a love story.... Please pass my regads to prachi desai and i hope you guys are still in touch.

Ram you are the best
lots of love

Ram,
Keeping a committment is certainly a commendable trait.. It is a very good quality to teach to your daughter - fulling your committments. It is one of the qualities that I teach my daughter. But haven’t Ekta, Balaji and Zeetv been remise in their commitment to the audience of KS. They haven’t produced something that is truly entertaining since October 2006. But we the audience have remained loyal … like fools waiting for them to reward our loyalty with good storytelling and returning well developed characters to their former glory. So far we have been kicked in the teeth by Ekta and her destructives. Ekta with her arrogant, ‘watch it if you like or don’t’ attitude is insulting the very masses she states she creates such rubbish for.

I sadly watch only the first 6 months of KS now. The storylines and the beloved characters have all been destroyed - by the different non-creative often times degenerate minds at Balaji.

Jai Walia has become so near and dear to many of our hearts that it is heartbreaking to see the wonderful character you infused with life becoming a cartoon. Jai Walia had depths of emotions before. There was a fire in his eyes that left you breathless waiting for his next move, but now he has been reduced to a brainless, giggling, crying, spineless ineffectual sidekick.

There are many women who love KS and it is for JW (me included)... the original JW not this shadow he has become. I realize actors do not have creative control over their characters but the many different creatives who have been at the helm of KS have changed a magnificent character into someone so pathetic that he is not even recognizable anymore. There is no continuity with characterizations or storylines.

KS is my first and only Hindi serial not sure I will watch any other...hmmm unless you are in it LOL but sadly I can not bring myself to watch the new Jai Walia who is heading into his second childhood. I find nothing attractive about a 70+ man …albeit without much grey…attractive or sexy flirting with the new Bani whose subtley in acting is sorely lacking.

I kept hoping that the 16 year leap was someone elses nightmare not just mine LOL. But unfortunately it looks like its hear to stay and Meera is the brains of the outfit. JW, BW and the Good for Nothings in Walia Mansion are all the brainless buffoons. Sorry for the harsh words, but having loved the original cast and seeing how they have been sidelined and poorly utilized for other poorly written characters and storylines is frustrating. Lastly, Generation Next are completely boring. I watched KS for Jai Walia and Bani Walia, Daadi, Adi, Anu, Jigs, Rano, Pushkar, Ranveer and Tony...not for the bland, boring Generation Next.

ram i really wish to see u and prachi desai on screen again one day either on tv ot movies :)

Ram sir..
i am gr8 fan of urs..Kasamh se..
"Kasamh se" is my tagline for evry sms and orkut prof..!!
ur acting's gr88est expressions and emotions zabardast and thats d reason holding us(me and my family)to the serial despite not so gr8 storyline nowadays wid no suspense or twists left..
No need to put an end 2 serial since every serial has its ups and down..
KS has several popular chars it can bring back..pia,aparajit and jigyasa..why not bring dem back..
Powerful(acting wise!!) actors should b brought as new leads(atharva still left in d serial!!) since current new generation is not too gr8..
I hav no prob even if kasamh se continues like dis since i am its die hard fan..but prob is channels run on trp game and dere were some recent reports too..which we surely dont want..
And sir..i wud surely want d luv story angle bw u & bani 2 b revived big time..since prachi was not wid u in many frames..it was d luv story angle which suffered..
(Sorry if i said smthing too much!)

So sir..plz convey this 2 the serial's creative think tank...
We surely want d serial 2 rock and beat all competition.which is sadly not happening now..

waise ur cousin nikhil is 1 of my orkut friends too..
Sir,i hope u rock!!!and d serial too recovers back..

thanks fr interacting with ur fans...thanks sir..

Keep Smiiliing.. :)
Kasamh se!!!

Sunitha said...

Hey Ram (sounds like the last words of Gandhiji, no offence huh) Kasamh se is really doing good. Especially yesterday's episode where Bani and Meera are literally wrestling. Myself and my daughter who is 2.9 years really enjoyed watching it.

What are your plans? Do you plan to do any more serials? I looked for your number/contacts from one of the cine star's wife's who happens to be my good friend. But she blankly refused. Saying you wouldn't like it. You guys are mutual friends and as a family meet often.

One more question? have your really put on weight or it is just camera techniques. Originally you are just 2 months older than me.

Hi Ram,

Wow! You are a great actor. I must admit I'm new to the Kasam Se viewing audience and I'm also a non-Asian American (thank goodness for sub-titles), but honestly I really enjoy watching you and the rest of the cast. Ever since I discovered the show, I've been hooked...I've even made some of my friends watch and they were like "wow, I thought American soaps had drama!". Anyway, just wanted to drop you a line to tell you what a great job your doing. Btw, I read someplace that the serial will be ending in 2009...this isn't true...is it???

Anonymous said...

I would say you are an average actor in a poor quality Tv show. Don't get me wrong, all Zee Tv shows are of poor quality. The cameras constantly going back and forth on actors faces, the shuck shuck background noise, the actors staring at each others faces - the stares are blank, confused as if they don't know what emotion to emote, the carrpy music, the bad stories, it all descibes Zee Tv shows. And other Tv shows are no different. Rememberyelling is not acting, blank confused staring is not acting but sadly Indian actors have no talent at all. I have gone back and seen some of the movies I saw in childhood and liked. Well guess what, I come to the realization that without songs of rafi, kishore, mukesh, lata, asha, and some less capable singers of that time the movies would be duds. I would say starting from middl eof 1970's, the standard of Indian movies has gone downhill all the way except fdor a few movies once in while that can be called worth watching.
I see in your films interst section that you like only the sicilian gangaster movies. That tells me you have a limited knowledge of good movies and good actors.
As for me, mobbing an actor and specifically an Indian, I wouldn't even want to go see them in organized shows even if I got free tickets. It's a complete waste of time. I don't see any talent in Indian actors/actresses and I don't find any Indian actress pretty.

Hey Ram your friend Farah is claiming on her forum that Ekta got all her people to vote for Prachi in order for her to win the awards she got.
Does that means Ekta did the same for you in your Jai Walia days, when you won all those awards. She got all her people to vote for you, so you would be the 100% guaranteed winner. Your friend sure is full of info. Maybe she saw all the bills.

There's a world of difference between truth and facts. Facts can obscure the truth. Maya Angelou.

Anonymous said...

Hi Ram, is Farah gay, because she is telling everyone on the forum name for you and Prachi, that Prachi and Ekta are gay and are an item.

You know Ram on the outside your friend maybe a nice person, but on the inside she is one nasty vindictive individual. Just check out the forum sometime to see how these people trash Prachi. It too sicking.

Hi Ram, another prompt mail from me.
As I have told before I am a huge fan of yours since I was a kid. Presently I am 14, I was your fan since 1999.As kasam Se was over I was very upset, thought that I could not see you again soon. But after some days Jhalak came and I was soooo
happy. But now that is also over.
Four requests for you:

1)Plz!!! Take some time from your busy schedule,go to Jim,reduce your weight and be in shape.

2)Stop doing side rolls in films and come back with a show again. You may start your work at films when the leading actors are not launching any films. It will bring a crash.

3)Plz!!! Do write me at least once in your life. I will wait till my last breath.

4)Be clean shaved. You look handsome.

As I am bengoli I am welcoming you in Kolkata. Be here in Durga puja with your family we will have fun. Here all the girls are crazy for you. You will not believe
once I went to the staff room in our school to take some chalks, the teachers were saying" Jai Walia
is very handsome if I knew him personally I would marry him only.

Ek baar aur main request kar rahi hoon plz ek show ke saath jaldi se wapas ajao. Filhaal main internet pe blog dekhke, youtube me tumhare videos dekhke kaam chala rahihoon
lekin isse zyada din tak nahi chal sakta.

Now its 2:45 a.m. I was taking a break bcause I was frustrated doing a sackful of assignments which our teachers gave. I have to submit them tomorrow so I am leaving now. Keep acting, keep smiling, keep writing, keep loving.
Love you sooooooo much
