The Circle

I’m right now in between shots and down with the worst back ache. When your 2-year-old daughter decides to use your back as a human trampoline - that too on her birthday - there's not much you can do. Now, I’m on a 4-hour cycle of painkillers, with one more shoot before I can call it a night. What fun!

While blogger’s block is something that I can’t really crib about (this IS only my 4th blog guys), I don’t feel very sure that I should tell you about this event that occurred in my life a few days back. It’s just an incident, but it left behind something special in my mind. OK, what the heck - here it goes .

Most of my banking is done via ATMs, but this time was different. I was there to make a deposit, so I was in a branch, waiting my turn in a queue. Now most public figures have a heightened sense of all the nudging and whispering that goes on when they enter a room, and I am no different. Standing there in line, I could hear, about 3 or 4 places behind, a mother and child. The child’s voice seemed animated upon finding Jay Walia in a bank, a few feet away from her. She started to cajole her mom into meeting me. The mom on the other hand sounded reluctant, most probably in an attempt to give me my space. While I love the attention I get, I was also running a packed schedule. So I let the mom-daughter duo sort it out without intervention. (To be honest, I was hoping to make a getaway before they got to me)

This went on for about 5 minutes. In these 5 minutes, what had begun as whispering had escalated into an unavoidably loud conversation. Finally, behind me, I heard the mother relent and approach me. She was older than I expected and asked me politely if I would meet her daughter. “Of course”, I said, almost eager to get over with it, so I could get back to my business.

And then I saw her daughter. She sounded like she was 10, but standing in front of me was a 30 year old, intellectually disabled woman. She seemed elated to see me, but reacted completely different from all the fans I had ever met before. I mean here in front of me was a fully grown woman, but yet also a child. She spoke with me and held onto my hands with child-like joy (I could feel her shivering with emotion). She seemed so, sooooo happy to have met me that I have to admit I felt like an absolute fool for having hoped that I could avoid them.

Meeting fans in my line of work is an everyday event. At times exciting, at times intrusive. We learn to handle it in a set pattern, almost as if on autopilot. However, meeting this woman in the bank, hearing her argue with her mother to spend a few minutes with me, and seeing her get beside herself with joy - it broke that autopilot. It got me thinking again – of how all actors and public figures are nothing without the various people who love them. Hundreds and thousands of people who I reach out to through the tube 5 times a week, and this woman and her mother who had reached back to me. The circle seemed complete for a few moments.

I guess this incident touched me so much, I just HAD to share it.

Keep Smiling,
Ram

Wow!! This is the first time I have visited your blog...and it is AWESOME!!! I love what you ahve to say. I agree with Nikita...BILLIONS of people love you, and the girl you met just "over-loves" you, if that is even a word.

Just one question for you, I hope you answer it the next time you blog...What is up with you and Naman Shaw? ...lol... I mean I've seen your videos on YouTube and stuff and all you ever say is "Where is Pushkar?",..haha. I could understand Prachi and Roshni, but you and Pushker?!!

Oh well, I guess everyone had their own choices...haha...

Hi!!

Welcome back!

Hope Sia had a wondeful day breaking ur back!!: ))) Its a father's privilege!...I have seen my daughter doing the same with her father...I have seen his expressions when she does that...Pride&Pain both in same measure!! :)

That incident is just sooooo amazing!!I can truely understand what u felt then.It must have been truely a humbling experience.....

You are special to most of us because of this nature of yours. When we hear u speak,we know in an instant that u speak from ur heart...Straightforward and 101% genuine.Mot many public figures think/behave that way. This incident has touched me too immensely.I can understand what that lady must have felt...

Well,Ram,u do have that sort of effect on people...No wonder we have stuck through KS always..even during the worst part of it,which in my eyes, would be the AD/Durga phase...

As long as RK remains in KS,we remain there too.KS is really going great now.Gurdeep,Pallavi,Arunima all r doing a wonderful job.

Do i have to tell u that u r doing great too....

;)

Take care,Rest well&Sleep well.

Radhika.

That was great to share your experience with us Ram... It just goes to show that you have millions of fans who love you like that and who would love to reach out to you in some form or the other.... and this (your blog)is just one way to do so. You are doing a good job with your blogging and keep it up

As for Sia, it is true there is not much that you could have done especially since it was her birthday but seeing that smile on her face makes the pain secondary even though you may be hurting alot.....she is a sweet little girl who has her daddy's looks...Lots of love to Sia.
Hope you do feel and get better soon. Take Care

oops...That was the longest reply i have ever posted...

Guess i am getting more comfortable talking to u ;)

Ram,
That was a wonderfully touching moment. Thanks for sharing. Sometimes we do get caught up in our own lives and forget the little important things. Your taking the time to speak with this mother and her daughter will be a memory that I am sure they will not forget soon. That is the power of celebrity and a good human being.

As for the back pain, I can relate. My hubby suffers from back pain at least twice a year when he thinks he's Superman and wants to be our handyman and mechanic. I hope the painkillers work and hopefully muscle relaxants will hep.

Our daughter used to play trampoline a lot too. Now she's 7.5so too big for that thank heavens.

Really nice of u to share that incident with us Ram, was very touching. You really made that woman’s day by meeting her. She may never have got the chance to meet “Jay Walia” like this otherwise. She’ll cherish that moment for life surely, just like all your other fans who may have had the opportunity to meet you.

Sia has been using your back as a human trampoline…ouch!! Poor u, have serious back pain now…lekin birthday girl Sia ko toh khoob mazza aya hoga...so its ok, I guess!;)

Take care of yourself!

ram....for the 1 st time while blogging...I AM completely speechless....!!!!!

you wrote the incident with such lucidity..u brought it alive and also brought about a deep gratitude for the small blessings in life we sooo take for granted...

as for backache ..u get pain patches at the chemists..they r pretty effective...try it...you could use it with your oral meds too...

Thanks Ram for sharing a touching moment of your life with us. You are a great human being and very honest. I mean never heard any actor mention to his/her fans that at times they wanna run away from them. Lol but I can understand. With crazy fans like us what else can you do? I myself was left speechless if you remember, later I was laughing and kicking myself at the same time.

Aaaawww you have a back ache coz of the birthday baby but am sure it is a sweet pain. Ram this is just the beginning, you still have to go through a lot of sweet torture.. I am as tall as my dad but still jump on him, tickle him, trouble him and torture him but he too loves it. Aaah I miss home so much. Am dying to go back n meet my dad.

Keep bloging n pls thoda jaldi jaldi, kita wait karma padta hai. Lol

Luv Sam

Hiiii Raaaaaaaaaam!!!!

First, a very big happy birthday to Sia! We all used to jump on their parents backs at one time or another (Im in my 20s and I still jump on my mom to wake her up... its quite fun heeheee

I actually started to laugh out loud when I read the woman was in her 30's or so (I hope you got her age right (or younger), varna aapki pitaai ho jayegi... heehee)

Sometimes when we are handed something that we dont want to deal with, and we are forced to face it, sometimes it helps to prove that the little things in life are what matter in the end. Like your daughter jumping on your (poor) back. You might have the ache now, but you feel the effect long term, right?

I guess my mother taught me its the small things in life that matter. I recall when I was learning to drive, my dad taught me how, and he would only take me around the roads early sunday morning before the sun came up because then the streets were empty. But somehow, no matter what route we took, we always ended up in the exact same coffee shop and he treated me for a cup of coffee ( a habit in which i can no longer live without in the mornings). But again the small things mean the most to me, and I always think back on that. :)

Anyways loooove you for blogging and keeping in touch with us... Would love to hear from you again. Take care of yourself (and that back of yours!)

awwww thats really sweet! Im sure it must have been a wonderful moment for you to be able to meet such a special fan. I've got an intellectually disabled (Down Syndrome) brother too who loves KS to pieces. Watches it from mondays-thurdays without miss. It would be great if one day i could bring get him to meet all the casts of KS. I'm sure that would make really really elated and that's all that matters because to me, he's really special.

Unlike us, the intellectually disabled (most of them) do not have the privellege to go online check blogs and leave comments on the blogs of their favourite actora/actresses. Thus it would most definitely be on top of the world for them to be able to meet the stars in person.

Anyways hope your back is feeling better now! hahaha must be a joy for her to be able to use her dad's back as a trampolin on her birthday! :)

Take Care and keep up the wonderful job in KS! Love what you're doing!

Very touching story. You made that girls day. Moments like that must be making all the long hours gruelling schedule , time away from family worthwhile.

Loved that you shared this experience. Its nice of you to have this blog so that you can shre these experiences . Never would have been possible with the usual interviews.

I know you must be getting annoyed at times with the fans. But then you yourself are to be blamed. Who told you to be such great actor & have killer looks & nice persomnality to top that?

Keep up Sia. You have to keep bothering daddy. ( thats what my dad tells all grand kids. According to him they aren't kids if they don't bother parents). These small things is what kids cherish not loads of toys you buy.

Anonymous said...

Hi Ram,

Hope Sia had fun on her birthday, especially jumping on her dad's back!

I really love the way you talk or write because is feels that what you say or write comes straight from the heart. Thats what I tell my children, when they have to write about a personal experience for school. I tell them to be honest and write what they really feel, most of the time, they can't go wrong.

It was really very nice of you to given time and spoken to that young lady, I too grew up with an aunt who had Down Syndrome, she was a wonderful human being!

I love your acting, it seems so natural, you make us fans feel Jai Walia's hapiness, cry with him and for him and on the whole wish that Jai Walia found the hapiness that has been eluding him!

Take care and Best Wishes!!

Dear Ram,

Very touching story indeed. Travelling in public transport keeps you grounded, while travelling by own car is comfortable, by taking the public transport I feel connected with the people, I remember a few years back when I used to take the bus, there was this lady, physically deformed(dwarf), by the time she got up, the bus became full so one particular man used to offer his seat to her, as she was small so could not hold the handle, she accepted the offer but looked very uncomfortable and ashamed each time, she purchased her ticket though the bus offered free service to the handicaps and chatted with us normally...then there was another incident, this time I was travelling by a govt. bus which as earmarked seats for handicaps, one hatta gatta nawjawan gets up, signals an elderly man sitting on that seat to get up as he would like to sit..the bus was full, the elderly man looked at him failing to understand why he should get up, the man indicated the sign written above the seat and signalled he is deaf n dumb..

Ram, pain killers are not good best avoided, two months back my brother in law had his heart attack at 37, like many of us he had packed schedule as he workd as a journalist and editor, I am sure you do not want to miss out on life so take care...best wishes..Tinni

Hi Ram,
I wish your daughter a very very happy birthday... and sorry about your back but i guess it is a part and parcel of being a daddy :)
The incident you wrote about was touching and heart warming... sometimes in the hustle bussle of things we forget to see the people less fortunate than us and incidents like this keep us grounded and humble.
I appreciate your honestly and genuineness and most of all I think you are a really nice person to reach out to the girl and realise how much you mean to her.
I truely watch Kasamh se these days for you... I think you are a stupendous actor and breathe life into the character of Jai Walia. You truley rock the show... I think you are the only male protagonist in any daily show that can carry the show on your own. Hats off to you and all the best for everything.

Beautiful post this. Perhaps, show the kind human being inside Ram Kapoor. It's truly the full circle.

I always used to think that lives of people in the entertainment industry is a bed of roses. They have everything one could ever ask for, the money, the fame, the love of so many people...what else do you need?

May be I was wrong. It's a good life. Yes. But certainly not a bed of roses. To work 16-18 hours daily, nonstop, forgetting every pain you have, physical or psychological, to cater to the entertainment needs of your fans, is truly a great task.

I salute all the people, the cast and the crew of every television show, whih puts in so much hard work just to meet us every week, week after week.

Thank you so much for providing us our daily dose of entertainment. For all the dedication and hard work, just to bring a smile on our faces(sometimes a tear down our cheeks...in case of soaps:)

Please convey this to as many people you know, tell them we love them and we will continue to support them throughout!

Hats Off!!!

Good for that girl that she could meet you.You made her happy.Just as being great actor you are a nice person. From what I have heard that too makes a mark with people. Not too many famous people are like that

Using you as tampoline, that's Sia's right. And from what we heard in Jeena isi ka & if she goes after her dad this is nothing.....lol

I can see why you are not answering questions. Things in Kasam Se are beyond you.i bet even creative don't have answer to many questions like who is Vicky & how he landed having Bani's blood & sanskar? ...haha

Good to see that the interval between your blogs is decreasing. Keep it up.

Hey Ram,

I just read your latest blog,”The Circle”.

It was truly indeed a heart-warming and touching incident. Something on similar lines happened with me also, I certainly would like to share it with you. [i Hope you don’t mind]

Once my father’s friend and his little son came over to our house, and guess what I just switched on the T.V. to watch KS and was extremely annoyed at the disturbance. Uncle was talking to my father and the little boy was sitting quietly, I asked him his name and school etc…but he was just smiling shyly and didn’t reply. I just got some biscuits and apple slices for him; he hesitated for a second but then happily started munching them, within no time the two glass plates were empty.

It was praying in mind that they leave soon, but my hard luck, the clock struck 9.30 and KS ended. Just to pass my time I again tried to indulge the little boy in a conversation but I got the same response again. Uncle smiled at me warmly, I returned a partially genuine smile.

It was time for them to leave, uncle said to his son,” tell didi your class; you ate away all the biscuits”.

The boy squealed “second class” and rushed inside the elevator.
Later I learnt from my dad that the boy’s mental growth was subdued and slow in accordance with his age.

In this world where people are obsessed with perfection, I was over-whelmed to see such a father who loved his not so perfect son and was educating him.

That night I couldn’t sleep, I felt ashamed of my immature thinking.

I wrote an article about the father-son duo and mailed it to HT Café and it was published as well, I was quite happy after reading it in the newspaper.

Now, I hold different perceptions about things and people.

I think I am boring you; it was quite long I guess!!!

Thanks for reading!!!!!!!!!

BYE!!!!!!

God bless
Dhani

Hi Ram
Backache with a full schedule is not good for you. Just a forewarning, your daughter Sia is 2 years old. You will now go through the terrible two's with her. Loving children is fine but please do not give in to everything she asks for because you as a parent are the one that pay for it. Not just physically but emotionally too later.. I know while I read what I have written, I sound harsh. But I am talking from experience. I have two kids 19 and 14. They are well-behaved and loving but once in a while will they say and do things that hurt. I am still learning and try real hard not to react right away but try to sit and talk to them a little while later when both the parties are calm. Unfortunately, living in the US has its disadvantages. One does not have the emotional and family support that is easily available in India.
Your honesty about the fans is really appreciated. We the fans forget that the celebrities also have a life and would like to be left alone.
"The circle"... love the title because truly life is a full circle.. The saying "what goes around comes around" is very true and applicable. Do nice things you get back nice things from others. Do nasty and hurtful things, your life becomes miserable. I am so glad that you came out of the "autopilot" mode and reacted genuinely with your fan. You probably made her day.
Don't know if you get the opportunity to read all the posts that you get.
But good Luck with your shooting and try to rest up, because backaches can take a long time to heal if not dealt with at the right time.

Regards
Sangeeta

Looks like Sia must have had good time on her birthday.

Your story is very touching.Fanfare can be usually annoying but then once in a while you must feeling good to make some one like that girl smile.

Like your writing style.

Hope your back pain is better. And you are in the center of Kasam Se. We want to see u the whole time.I know I am being selfish as it means longer working hours for you that too with broken back. But can't help. There is no one else otherwise. Definately not Walia kids & waiting for day when they get rid of the choti Ma.

Hi Ram, as my ID suggests I am your deewani. Love the way you write about things. I could actually picture the whole scene. It must have been very touching. You made the girls day. She is a special child and you were special to her and she met you, that also was a full circle.

So Sia had fun on her birthday, I am sure you also must be enjoying it. I hope she turns out to be as naughty as you and plays lots of pranks on you as you keep doing to others.

Now I am waiting to read your next blog and also your interview on ramprachiroc.com as most of the questions are hilarious and want to see how you answer them.

Hey Ram,
Read ur newest blog 17th but haven't had chance to write till now.
Good writing style - ever think of keeping a diary or writing a book eventually? (Sorry, but I'm not some famous publisher, just someone who appreciates good writing skills).
The incident? - it's events such as these which keep us rooted and humble, when what we expect is NOT what occurs. It's not just 'stars' but ordinary people too who have these experiences to remind them of the importance of others, the need for patience and understanding.
Sia using you for a trampoline - why didn't you let her use your stomach? More bounce there and less chance of back injury, na? (hee! hee!)
Kids are just great - they teach us sooooooo much with their behaviour and observations. Certainly my 2 nieces, Jiya & Saakshi have taught me a lot. Just wait until Sia starts asking the 'why' questions!
I like the way your blog started, then pic of you in make-up room, video of your dog Joey and, now, an article. Variety IS the spice of life! It has certainly captured my interest, got me wondering what you will do next.
KS:- well, you don't answer any questions related to the show, but here are some (random) thoughts about story:
* how soon b4 JW realises that Pnta IS B? How - will it be his 'gut feeling'?
*where has 'Baba' disappeared to considering he came to help B and to stay in Walia mansion (which I will reiterate is AWFUL inside)?
*will Jigs make a re-entry??? hopefully she'll be more positive towards B?
*will Maasi ever re-appear? At 90odd, she has lot of energy to go on all those yatras!
*who will turn out to be the person helping B/Baba? Had hoped it was JW originally, but those ideas quashed pretty soon.
*will Siddaharth EVER be given any dialogues? Kya uss ne kasam khaayi hai na bolne ki(maun vrat??)
*will Walias asli son be found? am beginning to think whether yucky-Vicky might turn out to be Atharva - but how, don't know.
Love your Mumbai accent (obviously when you talk, not when you write)!
*what would be UR view if the writers DID rewind the story to when the Walias were 17yrs younger? 70+, wrinkled (JW would be!), too many years away from B = not romantic at all.
Chalti hoon - oh, too many painkillers definitely NOT good for you. Have you tried accupuncture - not with needles but with electric pulses from battery-charged units?
Ok, ab main sach-much chalti hoon,
Polly

P.S. Do you have any favourite hindi films?

Wow. Kasam Se completed 500 episodes.Congrats.

But too much Meera Pronita these days.Jay Walia should be the one planning the revenge.

Hope your back is better.

I think Ekta is cheating you guys. First she ruined the show with constant separation of best & most popular jodi , then unnecessary 16 yr leap & Jay Meera's son Vicky which made most of fans stop watching.

Now its final nail in the coffin. Mahabharat at the same time as Kasam Se.

Hey Ram,
(Must come up with a different beginning next time?)
Congrats 500 epis - but it could have done better if no marriage to mean Psycho, no awful 16yr leap (or more if J married to Psycho for 25 yrs - shameful) and no yucky-Vicky. The destructives lost the essence of the show - too bevakoof to know what they had till they lost it?
I agree, it would be really nice to see the male lead being given a brain for a change instead of being dependent on Pnt/B to do all the thinking. Love the barely concealed nuffrat for Psycho when JW has to talk to her.
Just a point: KS is no longer on 5days a week, only 4. I know, everyone hates a smartarse!
Be careful - too many painkillers and you'll put on more weight. Take Sia to the park or for a walk - you get quality time with her and some exercise, hai na?
Do you ever watch the comedy shows? There was a great sketch by Krishna (Govinda's nephew) and a Punjabi comedian, Lehri(?)who did a take-off of an awards ceremony. The funniest bit was when they did nakal of Dharmendra & Jagjit Singhji. Take a dekho if you get the chance. It'll make you smile. :)

Hey, thank you for relating the incident with us, I cannot convey in words how it feels on reading this personal experience of yours, its sooo touching. My admiration for your has grown 10 folds, before your started your blog, I didn't know much about you, I have only seen you as Jai Walia when I pccasionally catch KS, I didn't know much about the man behind Jai Walia, and its always a pleasure reading your blog. Hope your back is okay now, lol. I could imagine Sia jumping on your back. How cute.

Dear Ram,

This is the first time I'm commenting on your blog, so it may be a bit long.

Firstly, I'm so so so happy that you started a blog so that you can keep in touch with your fans from all over the world. I mean it's so nice of you to set aside a few minutes to update your blog despite your busy schedule. So I wanna say a big thanks for doing so.

Secondly, I'm not really a animal lover but after seeing the video of Joey made me wanna get a pet! He is just so cute. Loved the way you were trying to wake him up. In the end he got fed up and was trying to get away from you.

Thirdly, I feel very sad whenever I see people who are disabled or abnormal. It just breaks my heart. By meeting the special woman in the bank, you really made her day more special. I can totally understand why she was shivering and all because I went through the same thing when I met you at the Zee Carnival, Singapore. When I met you, I was totally speechless, slightly shivering and my palms very getting sweaty and I couldn't tell you then but that was really the best day of my life.(I mean it)

Lastly, a very Happy Belated Birthday to Sia. May God bless her. As for the back ache, all I can say is "Ouch". I get back aches if i stand too long and Sia was jumping on you! But I'm sure the pain disappears when you see her cute smile. Hope to see some pictures of Sia and you in the future.

Lots of love,
Nadia

P.S. Hope these three words ring a bell to you. Nadia, Singapore & towel!

Hi Ram,
I'm sure the incident must have touched your heart, by just reading it, I could feel the emotion.

I read somewhere (can't remember where, but I felt like sharing with you) FANS are greater than LOVERS, you DON'T spend time with them and you NEVER know them, yet they love you and keep loving you. Thanks for sharing the incident and thanks for spending some time with your fans through this blog.

Take care of yourself and you too keep smiling.

All the best.

Hi Soniyo (well, it beats writing 'hey Ram'!),
Watched SBS and they reported it's Gautami's birthday today; a very happy birthday to her.
For some reason, have heard most of the main songs from KS/ J/B jodi today - on the radio, on the tv.
Watched the Zee auditions for Sa Re Ga... this evening. I love singing (virasat mein mila hai yeh shauk, mere Daddy se), and think I have a pretty good ear for music. I have to say hats off to the guy who sat listening to EVERYONE without ever letting any kind of expression (especially negative) show on his face. Iss janam mein to main bathroom singer hi ban ke rahoongi - I wouldn't have the guts to sing infront of the camera, at least not without a lot of practice.
The promos for EK's Mahabharat are very stylish. Mahabharat is the original 'Saas, bahu, Saazish' story, I guess, so it is but natural that EK would gravitate towards it. More interesting would be the Jodha/Akbar story as most people outside of India don't really know about it. But EK might not be able to have her numerous, horrendous leaps with that, whilst with M'bht, she can.
Which hindi film have you been impressed with lately? Please don't say you don't watch hindi films cos that would really be disappointing.
Chalti hoon, yaar

Thank you for sharing your experience with us Ram. I'm sure even just a few minutes spent in your presence must have made the woman exceptionally happy.

Happy Birthday to your Sia!

Ram,

Was watching old episodes of Kasam Se from Aug - Sep 06.& realized you have changed so much. Now you don't look like that. It may be camera or make up effect also. But seriously you should watch your old episodes as incentive to take care of your weight.God has given you such good looks, great life with loving family. You need to take care of yourself.

You are great actor & nice person. But do watch you weight.( Knowing things like a pakora has 150 cal, mango=200cals chocolate cake =300 cals/ slice will makes you think twice before touching it. I keep a book of such facts & don't give upon anything but just eat a very very small portion. That way I don't binge whenever I see these things.

Hey Ram Sir,
Nice blog..this is my 4th reply to ur blog and everytime i cant just get enough of praising u and ur wonderful acting..even the script is getting better by d day but i guess we have watched such tracks in other serials too...

And some1 above is right..Why is Balaji launching shows rivalling its own show..!!there r 2 i guess... But that i think wont make much of a diff since d other 2 channels r relatively lower in charts...

And yup one more thing...
i Would like to congratulate u for Kasamh se..completing 600 not 500 eps on 17th june...
I think this blooper started with SBZ reporting this but i just checked d zee website..and found this trivia there...morover with me keeping track of every eps in the show it is not possible i forget this!!500 eps had been over long time back!!!
(I hope u wud acknowledge me for this!!)

Congrats on this...May ks go on 2 complete 1000 golden eps..(ya i think this is possible as long as dedicated viewers like me r there!!!)
Waise bhi since study schedules r tightening KS is d only serial i watch..rest all on tv is so repetitive..as i mentioned ks too is repetitive of KGGK track..but i just watch for jai and bani love chemistry..
wish to c more of it in future.....

As far as ur fan experiance is concerned it is usual people tend to forget the fans who make them..Its heartening to c my fav actor on tv not doing so....

So Belated Happy birthday to ur daughter...

Wishes for fast recovery for u...

Best of Luck for d serial in view of Mahabharat onslaught..

And of course...

Keep Smiiliing....
Kasamh Se!!!!!

Iy hiy Ram!
Why do they call it 'background' music in the serial when actually it's very much in the 'foreground' and so loud that you have to strain to hear the dialogues spoken????? Baaprey! SO MANY people complain about this and the quick zoom shots which can be sooooo irritating - but as usual, no-one listens to them.
Still waiting for akal to start working in JW's brain and for him to recognise B without other help. And for Psycho to start slipping up so that rest of family see her asleeyat.
How r u enjoying the monsoon? Will you, Gautami & rest of KS cast be invited to Prachi D's film premiere? Have you seen Rajiv Khandelwal's film?

Hi Ram,

Are you well or is something wrong with the creatives. The renvenge track inspite of being such an important track your presence is diminishing day by day...last week you were hardly there and yesterday at the most 5 minutes that too stood like a Khamba. With the Gen X specially vicky unacceptable, Pronita yet to establish herself, we want to see you, the main protagonist left, what is wrong? We want you to take revenge from Meera, we want you to be centre of it lekin yeh keya...why are we being served with this crap? TC Tinni

Anonymous said...

Why aren't creative wasting you. After rocking episode of Jay getting back at Meera by marrying Pronita why isn't he there anymore.

Let them no that people watch it just for you.

Definately don't want to see Khamba Vicky. They had good looking male characters, some like daksh & Moksh who couldn't act well. But this Vicky looks bad & doesn't know what acting is.And creative think we want to watch him with Meera & Pronita.

We are tired of waiting for Meera's exit which probably won't happen anytime soon either. But at least make it worth watching by giving you chance to perform like Jay Pronita wedding day.

Please pass on this message to the creative.

Anonymous said...

Hi Ram,

Hope your back is better. I just want to say, is it possible for you to pass on this message to the creatives to make Jai and Pronita equal partners in this revenge track against Meera. Many of us see KS for Jai Walia and would love to see him plotting and taking revenge with Pronita against Meera!

What about Mahabharath? I know that you said that you're not playing the role of the blind King Dhritharastra, but I am curious. They have not released the names of the actors playing quite a few of the roles. So, I am wondering if the actors have been asked to not say anything or deny playing a role in the serial till the production house releases the info?Of course, if this is the case, then you can't give an answer to this question!

Anyway, hope you have a good day and best wishes to you and your family!

In Jai Walia ishtyle -'Goddammit!' kab Psycho ko sazaa milegi? Kab Pnt/B apni sachai samane layegi??? Are you on chutti? Is that why 'destructives' not able to do much with your character at present?
Loved Dadi/B/Baba giving Psycho a run for her money. She needs more of this and in large doses! At least JW (& Gng) should find out what really happened to B all those years ago (not even the D's can decide how many years ago!!) Fed up of 'let's humiliate B' scenes and so want to give gundhi Gng ek thappar to put some sense into her silly head. Can the D's be told that we don't like nor enjoy so much humiliation of the 'good' characters
Are they going to make this Ajay turn out to be Atharva? Elderly, childless couple, find baby and raise him as grandson? Wonder if that was their plan all along, or only when they've realised that we want to know what happened to Atharve.
Strange that B hasn't asked after Maasi, Atharve, PPP???
Gotta make some pasta, so, chalti hoon

last2-3 weeks JW was there only for few minutes?where are our JW?I miss JW.
Jai-pronita marriage was great twist and i hoped that we will see strong jai-bani and they will take revenge together but Bani\pronita is making stupid plans and JW is standing like a statu .

I don't like current 'kids sudharo' track.but still watch show because of you but you are also there for few minutes.
Next genaration is tottly disappointing.KS is boring without you.

are you on a holiday?are you busy with Mahabharat?

Please creatives bring RK/JW back in action.
Can you pass this message to the creativesto to bring back a strong JW.Jai Walia must be in the left, right and centre in this revenge track with pronita.and also that prove that vickey(i HATE this character) is not JW's son

what a commitment, this commitment called kasamse could turn fatal for u very soon. oh my god this serial has turned into a comedy serial what a rubbish. Jai Walia is acting like a kid, whats this,go and watch the old or to say golden episodes of ks to refesh your and creatives mind about what Jai Walia used to be and what it has turned into sorry to say but it has turned into a joker.

Unknown said...

Dear Ram,

What a revenge track, three old women are made to run around crying witch witch, it did not give comic relief nor it was intense and gripping. Once again Jai Walia is a mere spectator but the only silver lining is his presence has increased. The revenge track has failed to invoke the intensity in which cruelty against Bani was shown. It is silly to say the least, even I inspite of being a amature writer can write better revenge track, on second thoughts will not as I cannot accept the blasted leap. Ekta now should really look into her creative team, they are not earning their salary and will let her down as new production houses are being launched everyday...she is no longer playing in empty field... and Jai Walia should come in the forefront incase they wish to save KS, BT please note...

Oy Hoy, eh ki ho raha hai? If Dadi and her friends were deliberately, jaan bhujkar sataa rahi hoti Psycho ko, then it would pass for comedy, but THIS? Where Dadi is bhulakhar and so everything just happens? Kuch jamm nahin raha. I think we are all waiting for:
* JW to recognise B and learn what Psycho did to her;
* JW to get on board and actually plan more of the attacks on Psycho instead of always w8ing for Pnt/B to be instigator;
* Gng to realise her mother didn't just leave her but was 'killed' by Psycho;
* Psycho to be thoroughly punished for her deeds - EVERYONE should find out kitni behremi se ussne B ko mara tha;
* yucky-Vicky to be NOT JW's son;
* Maasi to return;
* whereabouts of Atharve to be known;
* story to be rewound to B in hospital, coming out of a SHORT coma from injuries caused by cruel Psycho, meeting up with JW, telling him of Psycho's evilness and protecting her children from this dayan - and NO yucky-Vicky taking birth cos JW won't have slept with dayan!
* revenge story 2
* baby Atharve found
* stories set around children's upbringing, and other characters in the household; Walias don't have to be the centre-stage always, but should be there in every epi.
Pity Prachi D didn't get many scenes to laugh in as Gurdip has got today! What will it take for JW to be convinced Pnt is B? He's already thinking along this line, so am curious what 'D's' have planned. Will Vidya/Varun find out any of the truth?
The young Ganga was a delight - the actress and the character; the adult version is a nightmare!

Evil Ranvir had plotted against Rashi but no mention has been made since leap whether he has had change of heart or is still hell-bent on killing her? This track too could be taken up with rewound story. Too many unfinished stories at present.
Hope u realise that it's cos we love the characters so much that we put forward our views!
Dekhte hein, dekhte the aur dekhte rahenge!! (Rajiv Gandhi?!)

Good to see you after a long time. You seemed to have enjoyed the episode.Very silly one. Not really the revenge we would like to see.

But it was fun.

This show is becoming worse day by day. KS now a days really irritating. This serial has turned into a comedy serial what a rubbish. Jai Walia is acting like a kid. What a childish revenge track. The serial has lost its dignity. Its really a boring show. We don't like current 'kids sudharo' track.Next genaration is totally boring.

Hi Ram,

I am here to tell u that KS is absolutely rocking these days.If we start to analyse each and every show as if it is real, then all of us will be disappointed with all the shows presently being aired.

Any show is supposed to be entertaining, and not get the viewer's BP shoot up through the roof.Current episodes are funny, and I got to see urself(more of Ram) on screen! I would prefer light moments like we are presently getting, than violence and gruesome murders/burning.

Funny thing is,anyone who is fond of KS these days are branded dumb!!But hey,If its making me laugh at the end of the day,why not enjoy the show and then get back to work!

Well, thats what I have to say abt KS these days.Bani/Pronita was the victim, she got burnt, and she has the right to take the revenge, and JW with her in each and every step makes it worth watching.

So,I truely,and genuinly,like the show,risking being branded dumb!!

Take Care&Enjoy urselves,as u seem to be doing ;)

P.S-Not sure i liked the cat fight though!

Anonymous said...

Hi Ram,
Do update your blog, its been over a week! Like Radhika said, I am enjoying KS right now, only complaint is, I want, no, many, want to see more of you in KS!
I watch without analysing because too much of analysing ends up spoiling the fun. Afterall, KS and all other serials are fictional, why analyse to the extent of making it look like some real life problem!

Anyway, I like seeing this funny side of you in KS, you do have a flair for comedy and I'm sure as an actor it would be pretty much boring for you to always do the serious and regal Jai Walia!

The plus factor is, for once, the creatives are putting Jai and Bani together on the same side! I'm not sure how much of interference you can do with the creative side, but if a suggestion is allowed, then do ask them to make Jai more involved in the planning of the revenge as people want this. Plus, the comic scenes are fine, but hope that there's more serious stuff coming!

Hope to hear from you soon! Best wishes to you and your family!

Anonymous said...

I liked this Jay Walia . Funny smiling . Agree with all that you should be seen for major part of the episode like last couple of days.

if you can keep logic aside the last two episodes were funny. I enjoyed it.

Jay proita Meera trio was good. But as usual you were best. dadi is cute but she is being rediculed for old age little too harshly.

Congratulations on your daughter birthday. The incident you related is really touching and thanks for sharing it.

Ram you need to seriously do something about your weight. You mentioned about commitment, and this is a commitment you have made to your fans for over a year in all you interviews saying you are working on it. In fact it seems you have gained weight and not lost any. You should do it if not for yourself than for your daughter. Weight brings with it lot of other problems like heart diseases etc. You have a commitment to see your daughter grow up and also show her a healthy way of living. I understand you work long hrs, but i cannot believe that you cannot take out 45 mins a day to excercise and control your diet. Please do something about it, it's a sincere request from a fan. I don't want to see your shortchanged out of good roles due to your weight. You are only 34 and are putting yourself out of play from lead roles due to your weight. There is really no justification for having put on so much weight.

Good luck with KS and hope they give Jai Walis some brains.

Ay hai, - no, this time it's not the show but me; I went and played rounders last night. Managed to whack the ball but then tripped on the astro-turf as I ran to first post and went flying for sixer! Very stylish! Landed badly on left shoulder and scraped skin off just below the elbow. Nice bruise on shoulder and stiffness preventing much movement. But you know what? enjoyed the game!
I love comedy in the shows - it's part of life - but the D's need to make it more thought out and not slapstick all the time. It's great watching JW & B laugh together, and for Gng to actually listen to B. Some progress in the story at least. Am getting more and more convinced that this injured boy, Ajay, will turn out to be Atharve.
Where is Pallavi from? Her English accent sounds 'different'. She's very attractive and acting in this negative role will have done her a whole load of good.
Suddenly Aditya is getting to say more - about time too. Would like him to find out about B/Psycho too and see what his reaction is as the 'baap' he considered himself of the 3 sisters. Only Sid (RAnvir) has maintained a stoic silence.
Interesting too that Krishna has reappeared from a trip - so can expect something to happen regarding the bag she has carried for someone else.
Keep up the good work - and listen to everyone regarding ur weight - for all the reasons everyone is giving.
Hey just remembered Ronit Roy made appeal for A+ bone marrow donor on SBS - that was very humane & caring.
What's the name of the new show Gautami is to star in in the near future?

Hi Ram,

How are you doing? Hope your back is better and you are. Have not been to your blog lately until today and it is hilarious too see some complaining to you about the storyline and the way the script is written like you are the one they should be after for bad storylines or for the way your character is shaped. People not only complain about the storyline as if you are a creative but also complain about being called dumb like you are a principal who will reprimand the wrong doer but I don't do that because to me you are plain and simple Ram, the worlds best actor of whom I am the biggest fan. I like the naughty and jovial Ram

Your wives - the first one looks the same age as your 3 children. All of your 3 children don't know how to act. The fat chubbby talkative daughter looks ugly with facial pock marks when she does wears less makeup. The facial pock marks show. The othher girl looks ugly even with make up. The son does not know how to act. His facila expression is permanet - a confused one. perhaps he is just abad actor like the rest of you.
bani - the hooked nose 19-20 year old is peddling advertisements of a con man who goes by name of "Ajmeri baba" > She should be ashamed of herslf. She is neither pretty nor know show to act.
As for you, you are an obese person, who knows a little bit more then the rest of the actors.
I hope honesty is appreciated.

Wonderful to see you are moving on with your acting career like Prachi.
All the best in this new journey.

P.S. Why are these over zealous members of RPR taking such a negative attitude towards Prachi.
Seems like it gives them a high just to put her down at every turn, not to mention every thing she does.
The hypocrisy is so thick against Prachi on RPR you can cut it with a chain saw.
Time for the merry backstabbers to change the name of RPR to simply RR
and let Prachi be.
Hope those that dish their put-downs of her with such glee don't have kids that will one day face have to face this kind of behaviour.

Thanks and nothing but the bust to you and Prachi.
