Just got back from Punjab - hot and eventful with a scooter accident and some injuries to me! That is nothing compared to what my little 3 & half year old niece, Saakshi is undergoing right now. U'r right, we do forget to cherish what we have and keep chasing tomorrow. Saakshi was born with a kidney condition which meant her renal system was working over time. At 3 weeks, she was given a month to live - that too cos WE questioned why she was so puffy and kept crying. Thank God for St Thomas hospital who took charge and gave Saakshi back to us. They removed one kidney and gave her loads of meds. She got used to having the meds like normal kids would to having daal-roti. Unfortunately, they coul;dn't save the second kidney either, so she went on dialysis. My brother couldn't wait for another kidney 'to become available', so he had tests done and last year, he donated one of his kidneys to his daughter. Saakshi has been absolutely wonderful throughout and has to be excused the anger bursts brought on by the steroids she has to take at times. Just when we thought she was through the worst, she has gone back into hospital with a 'blockage' in her gut. Yesterday, the consultant & surgeon had decided they didn't think her condition warranted an operation - which has its own dangers. So, after days of 'I'm hungry - I want some rice', 'I want my Daddy', 'I want to go home' Saakshi was finally allowed to eat! We had our smiling 'nutt-kutt' Saakshi back. Or so we thought.
Last night was very rough for her and she is expected to undergo yet another operation. I can't help but ask ' What part of her hasn't been cut open or had needles stuck in that she needs to have this done to her????

Tonight's epi - best bit was Jigs coming in to stop silly Prnt/B harming herself. Great to have Jigs back - she looks fab for a 70 plus woman! Just hope it won't be the old boring track of 'I hate B, B is responsible for everything & I must take badla'. There should be a different relationship between the two now - mutual respect? Jigs has a lot of explaining to do - like why she waited 16yrs (or more?) to bring B face to face with JW & family? Why she allowed Psycho time to get close to JW and give birth to a son? Why she hasn't stepped in to stop her own grand-daughter, Vidhya, from becoming entangled with drugs? Where has she been if not in jail and why has no-one else known about her whereabouts?

Its my first time I visited your blog. Must say that have been watching you on TV since Ghar ek mandir days....I stopped watching it after you left and keep wondering what was its end:)
Its been quite some time I stopped watching TV regularly....Studies and all:) It was in 2008 that one day I remembered GEM somehow and searched for it on Youtube...what I found was links like "Jai Walia" and "Kasam Se" instead....It took some time for me to recognize you though....you have changed a loooot but it was only for the first 5 minutes....after that I could totally recognize you through your brilliant performance:)
Sine then I have been watching KS regularly (i.e. from FEB 2008) and simultaneously digged out most of its previous episodes and by far have reached Dec 2006....KS (2006) was i guess one of the best soaps. Now I feel your character has taken a backseat and it does not look good at all....but I read your post and liked the way you look at it as a commitment you have to fulfill.
But really I must say that you are a brilliant actor and you deserve a lot of praise for the kind of work you have done.
Its great to see you blogging as well and It would be a lot of fun to read more about what happens on KS sets, how do you prepare for it etc etc.
Regarding Kasam Se I am actually really fed up of seeing the body doubles:( they have been using them more often these days....that looks very fake....

Gr8 to know Vidhya chakkar was Prnt/B's plan and now more people in family know about it. Shame JW can't be shown as having brains to find out things for himself instead of being last to know - always! What does he do these days since company is being run by Psycho and Ranvir? Why can't he become a sleuth and find out who Prnt & Baba are instead of just having 'feelings'? Wonder if 'destructives' will show us that Jigs took care of Atharva - or will he just be forgotten, like Maasi has been? Where has Varun disappeared to? Good that Ranvir and other characters have been getting lines these days instead of the 'enter scene, smile/grimace as per requirement, walk off'.
Read that Ash had been away filming - why don't you do that too? Stop being so choosey and do commercial films - they're not all that bad, you know. Waise bhi, your character doesn't require hours of preparation to do what little he has, and certainly there is no taxing of the brain for him.

I have been watching u since u started, even saw u in a movie also,kal ....something with Chitrangda. U r always good, since u r a friend to Ekta, why dont u bring some sensibility to Kasam se, it started with a bang, but petered out with the same things being repeated again and again, and I dont like Gurdeep at all, neither she is beautiful,nor sweet like Prachi, I dont see u in any other serial, kasam se I have stopped watching, cant stand it any more.
